A lot of repetition, little real meat to the story

It's one thing to claim, over and over, the humans won because of adaptability and innovation, but the author never says exactly how they did that. Conclusion: the author is not a good enough writer to explain or express the details. That makes this just another ho-hum story with nothing in it to make you want to keep listening.

I tried to finish the story but couldn’t. The thing that wasn’t answered was this- we decided to conquer them because they were snotty? Really? That and the fact that the story feels like it was written by a poorly trained AI. I mean, if I see the words “indomitable human spirit” one more fucking time I will projectile vomit.
