This vid reminded me to check spark arrest and air filter. Ya.. I let it lapse 😮 Was running fine (so I thought). Removed spark arrest, half blocked.. burnt the little bugger and then cleaned my air filter. World of difference!! Starts first or second pull, power is like it was new. I guess over time, I didn’t notice power drop. I’m surrounded by massive white pine trees, these things bleed pine needle fall and spring. Raking is backbreaking… but with my Stihl BG…. No issues blowing these suckers away! Thanks JB!

I just have the little BG-50 but it still cranks up pretty easily. I've found I use it just about year round. Blowing lawn clippings off the porch and back deck (from side discharge mower), blowing leaves away from the house in the fall so that I can mulch them up with the mower and in winter I use it to clean snow off of our vehicles and porch/back deck as the Ariens Sno-Thro is too heavy to get up those, LOL!
