What i love a lot about Apple books is that it actually has a variety of free books which are to my liking, most of the book-related apps which i downloaded didn't have a selection of free books that i liked if they even had at all. I also love how you can manage and transform the page format into what's most pleasant to the eye (text size, background, font) a lot of apps have that feature but i believe apple books nails it the best.

I wish apple had Immersive reading like kindle/audible. This is where I can read and listen at the same time.

I just bought a book on Audible and it seems I can only listen? If I buy a book on Apple Books, can I listen to the audio version of it too?

My favorite part of Apple Books is actually just the brownish background along with their font choices. That combined with the ease of purchase made me choose them more than Amazon (until I got a Kindle)

Do you know if Apple Books allow you to start an audiobook and then pick up where you left off on the digital book version and vice-verse? That’s a feature kindle+audible have that would make me reconsider the switch if Apple Books doesn’t have that.

Hmm good question, I’ve not tried that but I’d be inclined to say it probably doesn’t have that, only because you buy the audiobook and the ebook separately

Just checking prices in Australia. Books i want to listen to are 30-40 dollars!! At first glance much more expensive than audible. One major problem I am having with audible is that downloading book to apple watch is very painful...

Yes you can. Really enjoying using it as a media player. Going for walks and not having to take my phone. The trick I found with downloading books to the watch is turn off blutooth. Otherwise it is painfully slow.

Kelly, in Apple Books do you know if it’s possible to read an E-Book and listen to an audible book at the same time in the app? I often buy the matching audible book that I am physically reading and listen along wile I’m reading. I’m wondering if it is possible with an e-book.

Hi! I’m not sure but it’s usually down to the iOS of the device and how up to date it is, however Apple Books usually comes as standard on apple devices so it should be supported!

They count towards your iCloud storage so it depends on what storage you have on your device, but it’s easy to remove and add again if you need to free up space!

Does anyone have any tips on how to make the Bookstore, Audiobooks feature available. I've contacted Apple multiple times and they're not helping. The only thing I have on my iPad and iPhone is Library and Search. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hmmm I'm not too sure as it's always appeared on mine. Only thing I can think is that maybe you're using an older version of the operating system, so maybe try going to your settings and seeing if you can run a software update? If not maybe your device is a bit older and can't get this? Hope that helps!

My audiobook settings are on tracks not chapters. So I have no idea what chapter I am on. Do you know how to change that setting?

Mine is actually the same but in most books that I have read the track corresponds to the chapter, so I'm reading a book at the minute thats Track 15 but it's chapter 15 of the book. Hopefully that's the same for you!

Question: I bought a companion workbook to the 12 week year book. I bought both of them on Apple Books only to discover I can’t seem to write in the workbook when the book is in that platform. Is there a way for me to move this workbook into say Goodnotes where I can use my Apple Pencil on my iPad to do the work in the workbook? I watched a video that said click on the three dots and export as a PDF but there are no three dots or an export option. There is a little arrow that looks like an export option that allows me to send to dropbox or a few other places, and when I do that and open it up, it’s just a bunch of underlined texts from maybe the table of contents but not the actual book that I need to work in. Any idea how to make that work? Otherwise I’ve just wasted money on this stupid Apple Books TIA.

If you go to the book store and click browse sections you’ll see they have a whole section for romance. I personally recommend a book called ‘You and Me on vacation’ by Emily Henry. It’s a romance I finished recently and it’s amazing!

So with Apple Books it’s not a monthly subscription for one book a month, that’s more what Audible do. Apple Books it’s just pay as you go 😊

It’s definitely a bit more strain that regular reading, but you can adjust the settings to make it better, so I have it set to a more yellow tone that’s easier on your eyes
