By the way, if y'all didn't notice, the history class is a very important detail for the ending. They were talking about Anubis, a werewolf who takes souls to be judged by Ma'at, which at the end is represented by Ernie the cat. And coincidentally, the ferryman is a werewolf, just like Anubis, and he is also taking souls to be judged. I don't know if that would help in any way understanding the story of the game, but I thought I'd just point it out :))

I think that the moral behind the decision is that whatever happens will happen either way. What's important is to be true to yourself regardless of which matters most either your social or academic life, you are living your life and that's what makes it amazing

not that there is any wrong options in this game. but the game makes it pretty clear that the main character really doesnt give a shit about music and his career and is only in it for his mother. it also fits the narrative of the game better to neglect the career option and hang out with chloe.

I chose a similar route too. I tried to look at it as if I was still 11: at that age, I was listening to whatever my mom was telling me to do. Even if my heart wouldn’t have been into it - and I don’t think Benny’s was - I would’ve still done it and been wary of disobeying. It was still a few more years until I became enough of a shit to chase girls and deliberately do the opposite of what was expected of me.
