One of the best emotional games I’ve ever seen. So glad to find this song

This game was so emotional. My computer was broken so i watched other people play but i still felt it. These types of games are the best form of media imo. They really make you feel something. I genuinely felt so much more grateful after this experience. I hope everyone gets a chance to play/watch it. 100000/10. Thank you

this is sad but a reminder of all of us that are living to this day that we are all lucky that we can live and grow up to see the world before we die 😢🙏📿

Somehow...I didn't notice that the soundtrack was released here on KZbin (And the Steam paid version as well, even though I don't have enough money for it, sad) This is such an incredible game. You know what? I would've written a 1000 word comment here. I wanted to do that too for my Steam review. But I'm just not a good enough writer. No matter what I say, I feel that it's just gonna sound cringy or stupid or whatever. But seriously. Before Your Eyes is such a good game, and it has such an incredible and touching story as well, not to mention the innovative eye-tracking thing. And obviously, the music was a big part of the game too, and I'm glad that I can finally listen to the soundtrack in full and without any background noise (Although honestly, I don't mind the talking, it makes me feel less lonely and actually "at home"!) Well done developers. And thank you.

Write it! If you think you're not a good enough writer, then this is a perfect opportunity to practice! That was one of the messages of this game, I think: "He was everything he needed to be. Just as he was," regardless of some arbitrary "objective" measure of what that need and worth is. Allow yourself to put yourself out there, because regardless of where you end up, you can rest assured that you will be exactly who you needed to be, a fulfilling life worth living.

@@mynameissang Damn... thank you for your comment, I suddenly got the urge to revisit videos on this game and fell in love with it (again), and then randomly stumbled onto this video - I wasn't expecting a reply haha. Definitely true. The fact that the game's story is close to home (as in, it's not a fantasy story where everything's made up, it's telling the story of a young boy who didn't live out his life the way he expected to - but in the end, he was already himself, and everything he had needed to be) compared to many many other games, even ones similar in tone, makes it so incredibly special and unique and a wonderful gem that's going to last forever in our hearts. I'd definitely write thousands of words about it, if I have the time. Besides that, I've also started learning piano during my free time - this melody is one of the ones I'd love to play and reminisce about the game as I do so. Anyways. It's so nice to know people still arrive here every now and then and think about this... I mean, obviously, since this is exactly what we both, along with many others are doing lmao.

R.I.P to those dudes who didnt survive to hear this. R.I.P to those people we lost along the way. Life is a one time thing. no do-overs. no respawn. no isekai and most importantly it's a one in quadrillion chance to live or ever exist again. By just existing and living is how we honor the people who didn't get to experience life or get a chance to exist. You matter. Live on. Carry the memories that was left on us by other people whom we treasure. Do anything you want in life as long it won't hurt anyone.

I read somewhere that an acoustic guitar is an instrument that embodies the tragic condition of the shortness of life with its quick attack and decay, and the piano is the only instrument truly capable of performing a solo composition, because of its ability to embody the range of the shortness of life or a long drawn-out one. It seems fitting that this is a piano piece, in the sense that the music of one's life is what one makes of it. What was a short and unfulfilling life in Benjamin's perspective meant everything to the lives that he touched, and the music of his life was a full and expressive one, as Elle wrote; it was "everything he needed to be." And Elle's composition reflects that.
