Looks like a really nice filler / quick game. Wondering a bit about staying power / replayability and card variety. Might be worth buying and trying out though, since it's quite cheap and comes in a smallish box.

At 35:57 I think you forgot to count your wild icon in the lookout. I believe you should have taken 5 things there instead of 4. Great video BTW! I owned and sold SPQF because after one play it felt too confusing to parse. This version seems to be smoothed out in a big way from the icons and even the complexity of the actions. Thinking I may want to give this version try.

Thank you!! Yeah at the time my "pack" only had a capacity of 4 items because my fort size was still at 3. (Pack = fort + 1). I wish i could have had an extra one though! I'm thinking this will be a nice streamlined version of SPQF from what I hear. I'd be curious to know how you like it!

Thank you for this playthrough. I'm still on the fence with this game though. Not sure I'm a fan of the repeated cards. Could easily have been just another kid, with the same card power. For some reason, when the Doodles second card showed, I was strangely disappointed. Also, and even though it is the name of the game, it feels that the 11 point swing from finishing the fort is too punishing for someone that stayed at Fort level 4. I'll need to try it before I decide to buy.

At 20:40 you use Skids to move a pizza and a toy. Why can you mix resources in that case, but you have to stick with the same resource type when using a card like Ghost? The rule book really does not do a good job of clarifying some of the rules.

Thanks for the playthrough, I thoroughly enjoyed it - and spotted that I've been playing my lookout cards wrong before :) I think I might have spotted one rule difference (maybe this changed during the Kickstarter campaign). It seems like you don't have to boost the top and bottom action separately, the played cards and the lookout work for both of the actions. It's not clear from the rulebook, but at least that's the consensus in boardgamegeek.com/thread/2543910/are-lookout-cards-spent-during-turn. Thanks again, you have a new subscriber :)

Hi guys! Love your vids! Question regarding the Prince follower action: Monique took the follower action at around the 25:18 mark and discarded the crown suit as normal, however she didnt tuck the exact suit Naveen tucked under his board. Is this the correct way of playing the follower action with this card? I was under the impression that the follower had to do the action exactly as the leader intended. Thanks for your time!
@BeforeYouPlay4 жыл бұрын
Hi Jahnie! Thank you! The follower has to take the resources that the leader decides to take when doing that action. This time around she was just following the action of placing a card in your lookout

Just got this one yesterday, and trying it tonight! Question- if you previously finished an action to completion from your card, can't the second action be partially fulfilled? Requirement being at least one action has to be done in entirety? So you could complete your private action fully and then if your public action is take two resources for your stuff but you only have room for one, you could still that action? Thank you for this playthrough! Bought it because of your Top Ten's of 2020 :)
@kringfish40784 жыл бұрын
Question, at 20:40, when you invoke Skids' public action (boosting it w/ Zip) to put two resources into your pack from your stuff, do they have to be the same resource or can you do 1 pizza/1 toy? Just wondering. Great content!
@derekanderson6094 жыл бұрын
Just a little confused on the follow action. At 38:53 you played "Tiny" which allowed you to collect any resource which was a pizza, and Naveen followed by discarding and taking a pizza; do they have to take a pizza if the symbol says any? But at 36:07 after you played toys to your pack, he followed by playing a pizza to his.
