Beginner Adobe Illustrator Tutorial using Brushes

DOWNLOAD BRUSHES: Adobe Illustrator Brushes will come as Zipped Folders. Once you have downloaded and extracted the folders, Brush Libraries are ready to be used in Adobe Illustrator. Download (Updated) Cartoon, Comic Strip, and Vintage Mascot Brush Libraries.
SAVE LIBRARIES: I recommend Saving Brush Libraries to your "User Defined" for Quick Access. Open each Brush Library and click Save Brush Library in the Brushes Menu. The default Save Location is "User Defined."
OPEN BRUSHES: Adobe Illustrator Brushes have been organized into Brush Libraries for easy application and to maintain consistency with your Line Variation. You can Open Brush Libraries through the “User Defined” or “Other Library” Options in the Brushes Panel in Adobe Illustrator.

i Can't Unit the colors like you did. Because of that a can't do the shadows =( cant solve this . Using Adobe CC

I realize that i actually don't know what your doing with the shades. Your tutorials are great tough.

So i manage to do the shadows but this method using the Knife made the lines very inconsistent, not to say that most times it changes the fill color of some of the parts. I know i did something wrong tough.

If you are uniting the colors after the live paint bucket double check that you have ungrouped your colors before untiing.

When you are using the knife- make sure you go all the way through the shape you have selected. Then you can color the shadow. On some of the newer videos I have gone through using the line or shape tool (no fill-no stroke) with the divide pathfinder to do the shadows as well. Just double check that you ungroup after the pathfinder.
