Fabulous technique video, Rachel. Question: is there any brown pigment that blooms out similar to Lamp Black? If not, does Lamp Black bloom out to the same degree when it's mixed with another pigment? Thanks so much for all you share about watercolor painting. 😺

I don't know of any that bloom quite like Lamp Black, but others will bloom with soft edges. Did you get my little post card yet?

I'm not sure if it would bloom as much mixed with another paint. For first out effects I've always used it by itself. Experiments are needed!
