Thanks so much!! I really love how you explain every specific movement you use. Most coaches will tell you in some broad sense what to do, but skip the details.

Thank you I really appreciate your comment , someone told me a long time ago while I was in the army that if your trying to teach and can’t explain it to a child you can’t teach and ever since then I’ve explain every detail no matter what I’m teaching , hope the video helps my friend 👍🥊

@@coachcraiguk Definitely true! I think coaches sometimes expect students to already know things because to them they are second nature. But that's usually the good stuff! I use this video to supplement the check hook technique! So thanks!

Fantastic video! I have been boxing for 12 months. Thanks to this video I feel I am beginning to "connect the dots". I especially appreciated how you showed what not to do. I'd be great if you explained in your next video how to exploit those mistakes of your opponents.

Are these exit strategies the same for Southpaw vs Orthodox (open stance) ???????
@coachcraiguk8 ай бұрын
They can be yes although us southpaws, ( I demonstrate everything orthodox but I’m actually a southpaw ) we tend to want to go to our right but then if we only ever go right it becomes predictable 👍🥊

When i watch a boxing fight on tv and the pro boxers gets decked on way out, the commentary saids its because they went back in straight line.
@coachcraiguk2 ай бұрын
Definitely if you go backward in a straight line 1 people catch up real quick and 2 you end up in the ropes no longer able to move 👍🥊
@iluvcliffrichard2 ай бұрын
@coachcraiguk Yes, when I watch a boxing match on tv and the boxers gets decked whilst backing away, the commentary say it's because the boxer went back in straight line? I was never really sure what commentary meant but now I do. Thanks

Great. Do you still spar and at what intensity?
@coachcraiguk8 ай бұрын
@javedhashmi3315 hey I do yes , although I shouldn’t , it’s really light and only people that I trust and who know how injured my neck is , I’ve got some really badly damaged discs in my neck that are constantly putting pressure on the nerves and if I got my head snapped back hard enough , according to my chiropractor that could be wheelchair time, how true that is I don’t know, I know I’m in constant pain, and he knows telling me not to spar is wasting his breath , so he’s agreed I can but only light stuff my friend 👍🥊
