I’m a beginner and have been scouring YT videos and yours is the first one I’ve seen that makes sense to me. I’ve been looking for a washcloth/dishcloth pattern and tutorial and I think I might actually be able to do this! I’ve got the supplies already and I’m going to try tonight!!

I'm glad you showed us how to go into the back loops of the foundation chain row to achieve a braided look, but if you're doing a border as you had done, doesn't this just get covered up?

I discovered that if you bring the tail to the left you have the beginning of the magic circle. I looked at other tutorials and found them so difficult to follow and accidentally figured out I it was the beginning of the magic circle.
