I have a really hard time understanding korean by listening even though my reading and writing might be at an higher level. So I often get really frustrated when listening to korean podcasts for practice and I can't understand them because my brain feels too slow. But your videos are really good to practice with. It's true that Kpop is great for working out. I dance to various K-pop songs for 1/2 hour most mornings. Great way to start the day. Right now, Bouncy by Ateez (such a fun song), Stray Kids, & of course BTS power songs. They led me into learning Korean and this lovely podcast.

This was lovely. I came to Korea in 2008 and you are about the age of some of my students. I remember those songs coming out and being huge hits. The big help from these videos is when I get to see the grammar in natural sentences. I joked with my students about seeing a beautiful animal. Areumdaun baamiyaya i would sing as I brought out the very tame snake. Sadly, in my final 5 years in Korea, the students didn't know that song. It was too old for the 5th graders. Thanks again for putting these videos out

What a fun story 😆 I used to love B2ST too in highschool. I remember Doojoon's mini drama Splash Splash Love and a Gikwang cameo in 'Me Too Flower' which was so memorable because he was called PinkChicken 😂. This was one of my favorites and most underrated drama. I remember it had such bad ratings that they canceled the last episode. Variety shows in the Y2K Era were pure gold. Oh my School/100points out of 100, Golden Bell, Hello Baby, Xman etc. Thanks for sharing your kpop history ❤

@storytimeinkorean I used to be mocked for liking Japanese, Taiwanese, Thai, Pinoy, and Korean dramas. I was so obsessed with their amazing stories and cultures. It's so awesome that Korean culture is getting more exposure. I love hearing nostalgic memories of second generation kpop fans. INFINITE was my favorite 😆 I always watch old variety shows on a rainy day, never fails to make me laugh 😁

I also started watching Spanish, German, or Japanese movies/shows only recently but I wish I knew these earlier! They're very useful and your voice is really soothing ^_^ I almost wish there was an ASMR version of them :D I have a question regarding 4:24 '(...) 최고에요': is it a typo or is it interchangeable with '최고예요'? (I googled them but found many instances of both, so I'm not sure)

저도 beast-비가 오는 날엔이라는 노래를 종말 좋아해요. oneus가 그 노래를 부를 때 배웠던 노래이었는데 그때부터 언제 비가 오기 시작하면 이 노래랑 소쩍하늘이라는 노래를 들어요 ㅋㅋㅋ

Sorry!! 😭😭 I was focusing on older K-pops that I used to listen to, so I didn’t mention BTS in the podcast, but please do know that I love BTS’ music and listen to them often nowadays ❤️❤️ And all of those soloists are amazing too!!! Oh I understand sm, while talking about our fav songs in our local language, we tend to focus more on songs we have listened while growing up!! Hihi..
