Just found your videos, and started using your method book. As a beginner, they are so unbelievably helpful. Thank you for creating all this free content.

Great to hear! I'll be making a few more updated video lessons for the book to help answer more questions and guide students more clearly through the book.

Not Bradford here, but one method is to choose a note and then play it on all six strings. For example, choose the note A, which is on 6th string 5th fret, then 5th string open, 4th string 7th fret, 3rd string 2nd fret, 2nd string 10th fret, 1st string 5th fret. Then choose another note, say F#. Find an F# note on each string, and so on.

Hey, Bradford, I know this is probably a more advanced thing, but would you consider spending some time discussing left shoulder placement as it relates to left-hand position. Ricardo (my teacher) is working on that with me now, and I'd really love to see it from another perspective. Just a thought.

Hmmm, is there a placement? With proper posture and guitar position the shoulder should be fairly relaxed and not positioned rather than just be. I suppose there is some movement when traversing the guitar, are you guys working on relaxed movement exercises?

@@Thisisclassicalguitar No. He's a proponent of allowing the shoulder to move to where the L-H needs it to go. I'm trying to get a handle on it, but it's an elusive concept when working via Zoom chat.

Hi Bradford, I am new to your channel. Thank you for posting these videos. I began (adult) classical guitar lessons about 20 yrs ago. Sadly gave up after a few years, and I would like to begin again. I have short fingers and remember getting frustrated during lessons on my full-size guitar. What are your thoughts on starting out again first on a 3/4 guitar?

I think that is fine depending on your size. Students do need to get used to their guitar and small guitars can have downsides as well but overall, yes, it's fine to start with a 3/4. Have you considered a 7/8? Here's an article as well: www.thisisclassicalguitar.com/short-scale-guitars/
