This tip is pure gold, yet so simple. And that’s the beautify of it. When I started working out, I really struggled putting on some muscle, even with hours and hours at the gym. Results were pretty neglected & minimal. All I was doing was isolation exercises, nothing else. Then after teaming up with an experienced buddy who showed & explained to me the basics, I entirely moved to compound movements only with mostly just old school compound stuff. Push up variations, dips, squats, pull ups, chin ups, hanging raise variations for the core, etc. And guess what… BOOM!!! After just a few months, I’ve toned my whole body and I stacked more gains than I did for a whole year of small isolation movements. This is no joke, don’t be fooled nor scarred of compound movements if you’re a beginner. There lies the secret! :)

What’s a normal week routine you followed? I wanna get away from isolation and move to compound routine

@@juniorjr9011 I'd would say the classics. Pull ups, chin ups, later on muscle ups, push ups & variations, dips and variations, later on levers, repeat and rinse. Grow guaranteed .

There it is folks! It's so simple yet people tend to overthink it. Less is more!

This was 7 years ago. If you had stayed consistent then you would have made a solid base in 1-2 years. Add in isolation after this to build more definition and shape.

Thanks I found you....just what i was looking for! You are an angel on earth by sharing this with us. Still I have a problem and I need your help: which are the best repetitions/exercises to get lean but not bet bulky ( for instance avoid bulky look on the legs/calves or get then ripped....leaner) I am very petite 155 cm /50 kg and have felt great exercising until I hurt my hamstring last October....still have to go to the kind for this...... Still when I feel better I want to go for 200% but would prefer to remain fit and lean and avoid the bulky calves look for instance. I actually follow blogilates for fitness ....and any advice you give is more than welcome..,..thank you again and bisous :)

What are good isolation exercises, for the chest (upper, middle, and lower), hips, and glutes? Thanks.

Isolation chest is pretty much partial reps I guess on a bench press, after you can't full extend anymore to work your triceps, hips and glutes would be raising your leg backwards but with both your are still working other muscles
