beginner Rider on a 2023 yz250fx. first ride on the new Yamaha.

I had a 2021 klx 230r for 1 and a half years. Now on the yz250fx and my only regret was that I waited to get this bike. And I will agree with you this is not a good beginner bike for that I would say the klx 230r or the ttr 230.

The ttr 230 would be a better fit for a beginner rider. Then in a couple of seasons move up to the FX. My opinion

Would you say that if the rider is an experienced motorcylist, but new dirt rider? That's the scenario I'm in. 15 years road riding experience, 3 day dirt bike training, now shopping for my first dirt bike. I'm considering a yz250fx, but not sure. In my training classes I rode a Yamaha ttr 230 and a Honda crf250f

Nice bike! I usually start off in 2nd on my KTM 250 if on flat smooth ground.

Used ttr can be had for dirt cheep !! It's a great learner trail bike.
