Easier to be fast and consistent on the four stroke and is more planted, makes you feel like a better rider, but in the end you get bored! The 250x has same suspension, feels lighter, and if you're riding for fun is exactly that, more fun.

@@IliaEremin depends on the single track really. The beta motor is more suited for technical single track as it's quite smooth with heaps of bottom end. If it's single track like this the sherco would do better as the engine is alot more racey but can be a handfull in super tight riding. The beta is also slightly lighter but the weight difference isn't really that much. Beta also has less vibes for those long enduros as well

I just had a chance to ride the 2020 YZ250FX that a buddy of mine bought and loved how planted the bike felt. I noticed right away what you were talking about especially the front end. I really felt like I was able to push a little harder and go a little faster and gain stability. But I noticed that the cockpit seemed a little small to me. Specifically that the pegs seemed closer to the seat and that the bike was just a hair shorter that I am used to. I ride a 2007 WR450F and have the cockpit almost completely to my liking. I think I need some bar risers and I’ll be all set. I then got on the YZ250FX and immediately felt cramped. I’m 6’ and do like a spaced out cockpit setup (I usually set the bars forward just a bit). How tall are you and did you adjust the handle bar position, change the handle bars, put risers on them, if not, do you think that’s risers would be a good addition for you?

@tieoneon16144 жыл бұрын
Surprised not many people have mentioned this, but factory quirk of this bike is that the clutch drags OEM, it gets less when the oil is warm but always there no matter how u adjust the clutch. With oil cold, in gear clutch pulled in it will not roll. Starting in gear is tougher also. Look it up on the forums. The people who it bothered more, said if u remove the clutch plates and soak them in oil over night it fixes it. I just learned to start mine in neutral, if in gear it was harder on the battery.

Tie One On Interesting! I wondered why I was having difficulty rolling my new-to-me 2018 WR250F. I couldn’t figure out why it won’t roll with the clutch lever in.
