Nice to hear u giving this bike a lot of love. But i have never heard u ring it out in a few gears. I think people would be shocked to hear how fast this engine is, its a screamer mid to upper rpms range.

This has enough power for most of the riders. If you cross a river no issue because of the high possitioned air filter. No smashed exhaust in the front and it can be tuned with an app. Just mount tubeliss and gummy tires. Hehe

I'm 49, been riding dirt bike on trails for 1.5 yrs, started on an old wr250f, now have a 17 yz250fx..... awesome bike! Balanced, nimble, linear power.... but it moves when ringing it out in first and second! Idle turned way up, and lots of clutch control, awesome woods bike... only stalls when I make a mistake, love it!!!

Easier to be fast and consistent on the four stroke and is more planted, makes you feel like a better rider, but in the end you get bored! The 250x has same suspension, feels lighter, and if you're riding for fun is exactly that, more fun.

@@IliaEremin depends on the single track really. The beta motor is more suited for technical single track as it's quite smooth with heaps of bottom end. If it's single track like this the sherco would do better as the engine is alot more racey but can be a handfull in super tight riding. The beta is also slightly lighter but the weight difference isn't really that much. Beta also has less vibes for those long enduros as well

I just had a chance to ride the 2020 YZ250FX that a buddy of mine bought and loved how planted the bike felt. I noticed right away what you were talking about especially the front end. I really felt like I was able to push a little harder and go a little faster and gain stability. But I noticed that the cockpit seemed a little small to me. Specifically that the pegs seemed closer to the seat and that the bike was just a hair shorter that I am used to. I ride a 2007 WR450F and have the cockpit almost completely to my liking. I think I need some bar risers and I’ll be all set. I then got on the YZ250FX and immediately felt cramped. I’m 6’ and do like a spaced out cockpit setup (I usually set the bars forward just a bit). How tall are you and did you adjust the handle bar position, change the handle bars, put risers on them, if not, do you think that’s risers would be a good addition for you?

Surprised not many people have mentioned this, but factory quirk of this bike is that the clutch drags OEM, it gets less when the oil is warm but always there no matter how u adjust the clutch. With oil cold, in gear clutch pulled in it will not roll. Starting in gear is tougher also. Look it up on the forums. The people who it bothered more, said if u remove the clutch plates and soak them in oil over night it fixes it. I just learned to start mine in neutral, if in gear it was harder on the battery.

Tie One On Interesting! I wondered why I was having difficulty rolling my new-to-me 2018 WR250F. I couldn’t figure out why it won’t roll with the clutch lever in. I recently changed from a Husqvarna FE350 onto a KTM 350 6 days, very similar bikes but it took 4 or 5 rides to get used to it. Also 2 stroke to 4 stroke, so different! 2. Would you ever do a back to back timed section comparing the KTM or Beta versus the Yamaha, could be interesting?

It's not just the suspension. It's the way the bike feels overaĺl also.they sure did something right with that rearward slanted engin. I sold my ktm 350 few weeks ago to try a 2015 fx and I am so much more confident on the yz.dont under stand it but it handles so much better for me. For what it's worth

@@scrambled1213 Good to know. I love this xcw 300 for single track so far but the suspension compared to my Yamaha's is terrible.

Jay bray Never been on a Yamaha, however it is my first year on an XC-W with explore forks and PDS. Definitely has a different feel to it. First few rides I was lot liking it at all. Now starting to grow on me for first to third gear type of riding. However I have Dal Soggio XP1 kit on order for the forks.

with all due respect not sure you are doing an honest review when you have a promotion on making a profit selling your items with the giveaway drawing, after all, who would want to enter the drawing when the bike does not perform the way you would like it.
