I'm not a soundbar guy but last year I won a Klipsch Cinema 1200 soundbar from the AV summit(formerly Hifi Summit) and I have to say it's fairly nice. It's probably more expensive than it should be (1799). The unit is hiigly flexible with a powerful sub. What's impressed me the most is the quality and reliability of the wireless sub and surround speakers. While the unit itself is very glitchy, I've never had any droputs from the wirelessness of the unit. I, still, would never buy a soundbar outright. I can see it's benefits. Great channel.

I'm listening to this video on a soundbar, I have a 5.2.5 Atmos set up in another room. Nothing wrong with soundbars especially high quality ones like that Martin Logan one you've got. It's really all about the intended purpose. I'd like to upgrade my Samsung soundbar to a higher end unit since I do so much music listening on this TV with my wife in the kitchen now days.

When we redesigned our living room, it was decided that we would do a dedicated space for the HT equipment. I ended up going with a very budget friendly Vizio 5.1 soundbar kit. The sound is impressive for the price point, however the implementation of some of the other features drag it down. When I connected my initial unit to the internet and their app the soundbar became buggy and picked up an audio delay over ARC. I ended up exchanging it at Costco. The second one is still going strong to this day. Granted it is only a soundbar as I refuse to utilize the other features such as the built in Chromecast. We just stick to the TV's apps or external Chromecast.

I'm about to pull the trigger on a ML Vision X soundbar. It seems like an awesome upgrade for the $200 I can buy it for. Any idea what the "x" version changed from the original?

u should try to get new attainable home theater products to review like cheap audio man, your good at this, every other home theater reviewer seems to enjoy only reviewing the unatainable and while its nice to dream im trying to actually buy stuff, keep it up friend

Consider the used equipment he is reviewing already. That's where the deals are in hifi. Not new. Try the infinity il60. If the amps are good, that's a hard bargain to pass

My Sony 32" HD Ready CRT has a Flat screen I guess you meant LCD, good info I've never had a sound Bar. Erin's is Great I got hooked on his Center Channel video

Yeah, I forgot about CRT flat panel TVs. My old roommate had a 32” Sony CRT that we had to carry up 3 flights of stairs, it damn near killed us. Haha

I have a home theater system in my main viewing room but in my bedroom I have a soundbar because that's all I need in there. It really does make a difference, especially with how bad modern TV speakers are. I guess that's why they've surged in popularity in recent years; at least back in the CRT days, built in speakers were front facing and decent enough.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us! I know soundbars get a bad rap in this hobby but the difference between TV speakers and soundbars is bigger than the difference between a sound bar and a 5.1 home theater. At least in my humble opinion:) Thanks for stopping by, my friend!

Recently stumbled onto your channel I’m enjoying all the info! Last month I picked up a YSP-4100 for $65 and this past weekend I married it to an outlaw audio ultra X-12 sub that picked up for $250, didn’t know the sub was gonna be so massive! Lol anyway idk why but it doesn’t seem to sound the best I got the bass at 12 o’clock but it doesn’t feel like it’s hitting hard and the sound out of my soundbar is ehh🤷🏻♂️. I feel like the sound I get outta my tv which is a Sony XBR Sony X930C with a wireless sub, yea my tv has tweeters, mids and subs built into along with the wireless sub but I wasn’t expecting it to out do tge soundbar and sub. I’m starting to think maybe it’s a running issue. Lol sorry for the long comment

That’s a serious subwoofer and should have about 10x the output (not exaggerating), vs that Sony sub. This definitely sounds like a setup and possibly a placement issue. Download the manual of that specific soundbar and see what they recommend, when it comes to setting up a sub. That should be a pretty decent combo, if you can get them to play nicely together!

Can you combine any speakers with it and how can I turn it into a multi channel? I know Some steaming apps already set up for dolby

I would like your opinion, I upgrading from my Bose 321 and am looking between Sonos Playbar and a Martin Logan Motion Vision X. Which would you recommend.
@blazermdx2 жыл бұрын
All of my friends have Sonos and they are quite happy with them. I also think it sounds pretty good. If you only need the soundbar for one room, I’d go with the Martin Logan and add a subwoofer. I think the ML sounds better. If you are looking for multiple room coverage, Sonos is VERY herd to beat. Both are great quality and excellent sounding, just depends on your needs.
