Beginner's Guide to Backpacking | But Make It Wes Anderson

From the beginner’s perspective, backpacking can sound like a daunting thing to get into. In this beginner’s guide we distilled backpacking down to its simplest form in hopes of taking some of the scary out of it. When you get the hang of it, backpacking is the simplest and sweetest (in our humble opinion) way to enjoy the great outdoors! Shot, colored and edited as an omage to the Director Wes Anderson.

Leaning into work with the Big Green Machine, I see. Here's an idea I once floated during an informal meeting *way* back in the late 1980's : produce a series of "sport-specific" Warren Miller-esque films leaning into the existing staff at different locations, sharing stories and experience from the various departments, then tour the results in a similar manner to Miller. The concept was warmly received, if a few years early. This educational short is the CLOSEST THING YET to that nearly 40-year-old idea -- and magnificently executed. [golf clap] Funny thing, you two are the perfect pair to finally achieve the vision, all these years later. I'll wager they'd back that BfN project as well as a logical follow-on to this -- and what appears to be the beginning of a series.
