Thank you so much for the video. So wonderful to watch you guys wander through my backyard. I grew up in Munising and now live in the big city of Marquette. I spend a lot of time on the Pictured Rocks lakeshore. Either working as a captain on Pictured Rocks Cruises, or just wandering around the shoreline. The UP is a special place and I feel lucky to call it home. . I enjoyed the short conversation we had at Black Rocks and look forward to running into you both again.

My husband and I loved your Alaska series and have watched all your videos since. We recently watched Owen interview you. We wanted to say you are a Travel Show host, the best kind, one of your own making. We felt like we to had been to Alaska and watching the bear and salmon and to see Lake Michigan the holiday beach vibe. Your truth, sincerity and Joy (love of eating)are why we keep coming back for more. Check out Itchy boots best wishes from Australia x

Nice job! As a native Michigander I've hiked that trail since 1975 several times. The road between GM and Munising was a two track back then. More people now but still a timeless beautiful region. Watch out for the black flies this must have been filmed in early to mid june before the big hatch.

You should see the Porcupine Mountains which is the other favorite hiking spot in the U.P. I got photos if you don't believe me and they are spectacular. I can tell you why the U.P. of Michigan is a secret because I lived there 2 years. The U.P. winters are ferocious with -30 days lasting for months on end with 60 mph winds and almost no day light. The summers are spectacular and the winters are horrendous. The U.P. is heaven and hell. I forgot to mention the snow totals: it is like 9 feet so get used to shoveling snow.
