Just to add: If you dont like the text in your icons like DB etc in every macro you can also just put a < Spacebar > where you have to type the name in :)

showtooltip is acually mainly for showing the spell you writes ins cool down to change icon you can just choose one under where you change name. if you have an modifier macro and you got 2 spells in there you might wanna se the cooldown of 1 of them but have the picture of something else.

In the keybindings there is a setting in which you can set up a button that makes you stop casting

If I'm not mistaken, the "/use [spellpower trinket] /cast Combustion" doesn't really do anything because none of your DoTs get boosted by the trinket, and hence the combustion isn't really boosted by the trinket at all. From what I've read, you should pop trinket before applying the DoTs that will be combusted.

dear Hansol, i have a small question im a fury warrior, and can you help me with a macro? like if i have some1 focused that i auto. go to battle stance and cast charge on the person i focused and not the main target, cause i dint actually get that part.

im curious why you use mage armor and glyph over molten armor im in 1/3rd of cataclysmic and i got 27.59% crit no party or raid buffs just molten armor is it still better to use mage armor over molten and glyph for it with my current gear toons name is putridus on mugthol soon to be alliance side of bleeding hollow

hey hansol i have a question, why do you use the Darkmoon card trinket?

Instead of writing the name after #showtooltip you can just leave it blank, by then it shows the picture of the first spell in the macro. And if you got more than 1 spell in the macro it shows the one you are using (ex pressing "e" for Blast Wave and "Shift-e" Counterspell). Can be good when you need space on your bars. And by the way when naming the macro you can just leave it blank with a " "

@lenneth2009 Mage Armor = Never running out of mana, decreases the time of magic CC's (Polymorph, Fear, Freezies, etc.), decreases damage taken from casters.... it's helluva a lot better D and as a mage D is necessary.

Hey Just so you know when you use your Enginering Glvoeschant it puts a 10 sec CD on your Trinket and the same thing if you do it hte other way around.

@MultiPwnage1 The only way this could work is with a cast sequence macro but even still RoF requires manual targeting + both spells (poly / RoF) are on global cooldown.

Thanks for showing the macro to say somthing after using a certain spell :D I know people always had trouble when i was in a BG and i would Ring of Frost but they wouldnt know if its ours. So now i can say. "MY RING OF FROST" or somthing like that. :D

Rather helpful, just started playing a fire mage myself. :o I knew about macros beforehand but I never really thought about the issues involved with Scorch.

Protip: instead of typing out the whole trinket's name, you can just put 13 or 14. If the trinket is in the first slot you can just do /use 13 if it's in the second slot /use 14. This way if you change trinkets you don't have to change your macro.

A suggestion. Try to put stopcasting on your reg sheep/Focus sheep because sometimes in my 2K+ arenas as fire I know I'm not going to get cc'd out of the middle of a cast because most people don't use stopcasting on EVERY one of their CC"s/ utility moves.

It's a bug with the macros. For it to actually stop casting and cast what you want, you have to put stopcasting twice, like this: /stopcasting /stopcasting /cast Dragon's Breath

Hey great video just a question though since I'm relatively new to pvp what addons do you have for pvp? For example I heard a voice telling you when a warrior was using spell reflect or alerted you when a sham put down a grounding and a stuns and silences bar. They sound and look extremely helpful! I'm sure they are the basic pvp addons but I have no clie :P

That's it man! That's what macro should do. Cause if you don't use that macro when you casting scorch, you can't use dragon's breath. In some situations, you have to stop casting scorch and use CC, that's what this macro doing. So it's working :)

for iceblock, you can just use iceblock again to get out, so ya dont have to click the buff up top. saves a macro :)

you have to set a focustarget, otherwise it will do nothing. It only affects your focus. -> Cast ... (if target = focus) Counterspell

I suggest using modifier focus macros to save room, instead of having two different macros, one for focus target and the other for main target. Just saying :)

Why dont u make ur focus Counterspell macro : #showtooltip /cast [mod:shift, target=focus] Counterspell; Counterspell that way by pressing only the key it will cast on ur target and if u press shift + key it will cast on ur focus target.u can do the same with poly

Hahaha for the focus macro i forgot to keybind it. So me as a fire mage with holly paly vs holy pally dk lasted about 17 min. Cause holly pally kept messing up my shatter combo's. So we lost lol. +Kleo 84 dont bother with specific keybindings yet, try to learn gradually to the point you feel comfortable. 1,2,3,4,5, auto run, e,a,w,x etc. then start shift +, alt +, etc. The most important thing is that *your* *own* keybindings feel good for yourself. for ex. a buddy of mine will never feel as comfortable as i do with my own personal keybindings. same counts for interface, addons, hell even grahpical settings, etc. GL

Another way to make some macros is mod macros ill use a CS example... #showtooltip Counterspell /stopcasting [nomod:ctrl] /cast [nomod:ctrl] Counterspell /stopcasting [mod:ctrl] /cast [mod:ctrl][target=focus] Counterspell When you hold down ctrl it will go on your focused target. You can change ctrl with alt or shift its up to you. Will not work if you have a spell keybound to the key example i have it on #1 if another spell is on ctrl 1 it wont work. Hope it helps
