@@grpmoto1414 Hey Greg! Having high xp does not necessarily mean you are a better player or have unlocked everything. It just means you have played a lot of matches and done a lot of dailies in most cases. So you could be playing a lot, not have gotten good stuff it just play badly and be in lower divisions. In most cases, this is less likely as you usually get better the more you play. So its possible people are doing what's called tanking. It's commonly known in most games where your purposefully lose to gain some advantage in game. Tanking used to be a thing in this game during beta and a lot of people did it to get easier AI and opponents. However, it affects your stats and from what I have seen has not provided many advantages. They have worked to adjust how things like divisions, xp, inventory, etc affect match-making so I don't think tanking has the desired effect like it once did.

@@grpmoto1414 Also I just wanted to mention that you earn xp by playing Control Point clash mode and not so much when playing Team Death Match Tournament mode. So if someone plays exclusively tournament they will take much longer to move up in divisions.

Thank you so much for not deterring players from using Lancer, it generally doesn't get any love , so saying its alot of fun to play with, may do wonders for its popularity, as you may know, even though I'm div1, Lancer is my main, and also the star of my channel, and I almost always get questioned on why I use it , and upgrade it. But I can confirm it is quite alot of fun, and my personal favorite. Great video , and honest descriptions for each mech. Really enjoy your videos bud, so professional

I just started yesterday and am loving panther. I like play styles that have alot of strategy and with the double effect the Barrier has I sometimes use it as an offensive weapon to slow down would be escapees. Plus with it shields absorbing all damage it's got great survivability. Got to pay close attention to the map to avoid ambushes, and lock on missiles take it out immediately but once you account for that it's almost unstoppable Killshot is a close second for me. The three starter mechs are a bit lackluster but paragon is my favorite of them

If I'm out in the open on ares and a mortar comes in, I walk backwards so at least the damage, or most of it hits him in the front. If I'm out in the open on arachnos and a mortar comes in, I drop my turret if available then prepare to die. 🤣

That’s actually a good tactic for any Mech because front damage is much less than back or side damage. However, in an ares if you have your shield up, you can look up toward the sky and it will block some of the mortars

Great job Scape! I am already sharing this video and your channel with new people coming into the game. I think a broad weapon overview would be good, but as soon as you can, making an updated version of your progression path and buying guide videos will be great again, whether its in 2-3-4 parts or whatever. So a bot overview, weapon overview, progress path guide, game mode overviews, tourney overview, map strategy and mode hangar setups would be nice. Great job. Really professional and worth of Plarium highlighting as an ambassador to the game. Plus you and your personality are great and should attract people to the game, and not repel people like some other guys out in other games who don't have the look, voice, or personality and stable character for such a public role!

With Ares you can step back from javelins and it hits your sheild instead of you it's a way for your enemys to wittle your sheild down and their team to come and finish you off

From my personal experience, I'd say that killshot is probably the best mech for artillery (mostly indirect fire here) setups since it's ability not only can be used to finish off enemies getting too close but also quickly relocate itself when spotted.

you know i actually was a little harder on him when I first did it, but decided to be nicer. Paragon is good early game, meh mid game, and then kinda fun in the late game too. So he has some pockets where he is decent, but doesn't usually outclass most mechs. Agreed on the jav build - really fun for lancer :)

For shadow I recommend you to have shotgun 4 at the start it can do a lot of damage

I'm a Zephyr player and I can certainly agree that, like Panther, they're awfully reliant on their ability. I play Zephyr in a hyper-aggressive playstyle since I use Missile Racks and try to get behind enemy lines for the backstab damage. The EMP effect really makes a difference when they can't move, great counter in my opinion toward annoying mechs like Killshot and Guardian!

zephyr with arc torrents might be a better option. what if the mech you froze has low hp and only needs one missile to die. or if there are multiple mechs you froze? with arc torrents, you wont a=have to wait for reloading and you'll be able to kill multiple enemies without hassle
