@@Juan_More_Mile the reason this is harder is cause you can't get into a "running flow" and your muscles are able to relax in between runs which makes the pain in your muscles while running worse and worse. Much harder than a traditional marathon

Awesome video! Greetings from Montana In USA, it’s winter here, at least you didn’t have to run in the snow😂 I do the David Goggins 4x4x48 challenge in March every year, and usually it’s snowy still. Definitely important to have good footwear, and a lot of ultra-marathon runners experience memory loss, and exhaustion from all the running, so in the challenge you need to write down that you did all the runs in your challenge because you’ll sometimes you’ll forget where you are. Definitely before this upcoming March I’ll train for the challenge.

Next you need to try one of the Colorado Ultra Marathons. The Collegiate Peaks run looks good, 50 miles at altitude, with about 7600 feet of elevation gain. It can be done in 8 to 10 hours. As I understand there are check points along the way with a doctor to check your condition and allow you to continue. Bring extra shoes.

I've run marathons and half-marathons on the roads and on mountain trails, but I've never tried a Beau Miles style "24 miles 1mph over 24hrs" sort of challenge...perhaps I should try! I think to avoid the sleep deprivation, I may do 2mi every hour on the hour for 12hrs instead.

Running at night is so hard mentally. I ran a trail race a few years back, and the night running felt way longer than day running. As for your toe, Browney, what size are your shoes? Too small of shoes will lead to blisters and issues like that. I worked at a running store for five years, and the biggest thing that surprised people was that we recommended having 3-4 cm of space between the big toe and the end of the shoe. Socks also make a huge difference. No cotton in running socks since cotton absorbs sweat which can lead to blisters.

If ya want some advice, driving your knees more up and running from just your ball will not only make you faster but also makes running easier in general. Slowing down your breathing will also help as you can keep energy you need for the run. Going to fast is basically a death sentence, so you should only go fast around the end if you wanna show off.

I would love to do the 90 day challenge. I used to be a star athlete. I was traveling all over to play ice hockey and had been playing with the 19 year old women’s team since I was 12. On top of that, I was a varsity wrestler and varsity softball all 4 years of high school. I was looking and feeling great. I had abs and was totally shredded. Then I blew out my knee at a wrestling practice and lost my ice hockey college scholarships. After I graduated high school I decided to finally fix all my issues. I had a shoulder surgery because I dislocated and tore my labrum playing softball my junior year. 4 months later I had my first hip surgery because I have torn labrums, dysplasia, CAM impingement, and gluteal tendinosis in both hips. 2 months later I had to have shoulder surgery again because I got too tight from the first one. I gained 50 pounds after the first surgery and lost 20 after the third. I just wanna see my abs again. I know I am strong but I want to get back to feeling and looking like an atthlete. Please blow this comment up!

Y'all should look into GOATA training. It is the product of studying tape of top athletes who don't get injured. Commonalities were seen and patterns emerged which then informed the development of this system. It's all about proper body mechanics for athletic performance. It has benefitted me quite a bit, resolving injuries as well as improving performance and reducing the impact of training. Running was for sure the place I noticed the most profound changes.
