The Check boxes are there for past compatibility since they were there before the check list. Evernote handles the check list differently in the back ground as you noted with grab handles and strike-through

Yes, I remember seeing the Evernote video on that. I'm glad they are there, personally, as I don't use the checklist, I prefer to use the checkbox.

Divider - from the keyboard is " --- " and enter, bang, and a divider appears... And Checkbox can be added mid-way by typing " [] " even at the right end, and multiple times - so maybe show 4 to indicate progress. The weblink is also 'best' for sharing the note. And nice overview... ... And 'serif' are the 'tails'... so sans 'without' serif gives Arial/Helvetica like typeface, and serif is the classical Roman carved stonework letters, etc., etc.

Hello Carl! The app-link works fine for me on the Evernote web app. It will just navigate to the note in question. Being a Linux user, I only use the web-app on my laptop.

Hi Carl. I’ve been watching most of your videos regarding Evernote and I do understand PARA. But I would like to see a video about how (or what) type of files you store in your ‘Areas’ folder and ‘Resources’ folder. I find it sometime a little confusing.

Hi Aleksander, Areas are for areas of my life that are important such as my health and fitness, finances, relationships etc. Resources are for my interests such as James Bond films and books, Cary Grant, interesting places to visit if I am in a particular city etc.

Hi Carl, fantastic video as always. Two questions for you, do you use EN for quick short notes to yourself or do you use something like Apple notes instead. Second, do you backup your Evernote? Thank you

I use an app called Drafts for quick capture for Evernote. I use Drafts for capturing everything (Todoist, appointments and Evernote) Drafts is available for all Apple platforms and for me it's the fastest way to collect anything. As for backing up Evernote, no I don't. Evernote is saved by Evernote in the cloud and of course, I have a copy on my computer too, so as far as I see, there's no need.
