Beginners Guide to Hand Mining and Klescher Prison

today I took the prison time for 2 hours first, I managed to escape. Went to the Kareah. Failed to for removing cs. Got killed and turn back to prsion again but this time it is 7 hours. I accidently fired by laser gun to an NPC inmate and it is added another 2 hours so it was total 9 hours. Then I got deep into the mine. Took the "need an out?" mission. Went way back to the surface like in 45 mins. I just found out the garages on surface bugged and there was no vehicle. I had to run like 4,5 KMs to reach data box to remove my crimestat. Extreme enviromental wheater crushhed me while I'm on my way to the destination. But I prepped for this time. I got my medpens and oxypens with me. Managed to reach destination. Saw NPCs guarding the section. I sneaked into the working Cutlass black. Planned to kill NPCs with cutlass. As soon as I got airborne a little bit I got hit by the facility's rockets. Died. Now I have 17 hours. Every single attempt is failed. Best way I will spend my time in prison and this game teached me good lesson to be good player :) (Btw I didn't kill any player or security officer. I was doing Hammerhead Cleaning salvage mission with SRV and whole day there wasn't any security ship around it but my last attempt it's bugged and suddenly security ships crawled the area even there was still tons of time to reach my destination.)

I really really enjoyed it and I hope you get out of prison quick with some hand mining.. Jeez 17 hours.. The whole crime system is so laughably bad. Killed some red NPCs during a mission, got CS3, got to prison, none of the rocks are scannable, I run out of oxygen by the time I reach lvl 3 in the mine, yet no currency to buy oxypens... another amazing 1bill dollar SC experience xD

I'm sorry you're having a rough time in the verse at the moment! I hope it comes right soon because the game really can be an absolute blast when things are running over smoothly! Hopefully issues like these will be fixed with the server meshing!

@@zehpiezehp I think I read somewhere that the prison is riddled with bugs right now, so I'm trying my best to avoid landing there again, or you could be stuck there for a while.

as a new player, I ended up here because I accidently killed an NPC on my first mission - I had no clue who was the bad NPCs or good NPCs. My ship was blown up as I entered it. 2 hours trying to figure out the mining garbage. The oxygen issue made it much worse, the oxygen generators are nonexistent and when I did find one, it did nothing to refill my oxygen. This seriously is making me want to uninstall and return the game as I had zero explanations at any point.

my multitool won't show what its scanning even though it makes the scanning sound, and the laser heat doesn't show either. basically stuck.

I've had that bug before too, unfortunately the only way I could fix it was by reloading :( I hope you got out of prison my dude. The other thing you can do when you get the multi-tool bug though is head down to level 7 or 8 and knock out the NPC's so you can take their stones for selling, make sure its past level 7 to no increase the crime stat too! I show you how in the vid but this should be enough to get through it next time

Glad my video helped! Just remember to always keep your mining laser pointed towards the rock, if you're too far away from it it won't work too well haha.

@@SoldinPlay This video helped me aswell right now. Much thanks for this video. Since Missions is bugged in the 4.0 Preview, Mining is the only way to reduce your prison sentence at this time. But stepped into the elevator, trying to get up to the surface, and that is also bugged. So currently stuck in prison. Looks like I'm gonna stay in prison for long long time.

I got sent to prison for a few hours, being an SC noob, that surprised me. I was flying a Vulture, got blown up with one missile and popped up in the prison. No idea why. Does bumping into stations while looking for your "parking spot" give criminal stat? Sometimes it's difficult to see where you are in relation to the station when it is in the shadow of the planet it orbits.

I'm actually not 100% sure but I've been in the same situation before too! One thing I've noticed helps when the station is completely covered in darkness is to go 3rd person for a while, it like resets the lighting or something most of the time then I get visibility back.. hope this helps!

Thats strange, I often end up having to backspace myself when i get glitches to my multi tool down there. Sometimes its bad enough to make me alt f4 instead though haha

I'm stuck in for 2 hours, but the mining tool is completely borked, I go up to a deposit and I hear it scanning but there's no info that shows up to tell you how much power to put into the rock, and even if I'm there blasting it at full power for over 3 minutes the rock won't change or break, I've tried this with several rocks and I've committed sudoku several times now but it's still the same :/

here for the first time and for some season when I right click I use gather and cant aim down the sights so i cant see the bar i need to see... been going through my keybinds and I cant find anything.... its going to be a long 4 hours

Everytime I spawn with the multi tool it doesn't have the mining attachment. The multitools in the commissary say they have the attachment but when I try to buy that multitools specifically I get inventory error. I can buy everything else though

How do you know which rocks to mine? The ones i find like you did in the video don't get outlined in yellow and it just says no target.

If your multi tool isn't working, i usually will do a backspace to try fix it. A relog can also help here and there, I hope you got it sorted though!

@SoldinPlay ended up figuring it out. I think the issue was server delay. So you think you're on the right rock, which you are, but it didn't start registering it properly for like 10 or 15mins

I think it depends on the level of Crime Stat or maybe the location you're in, not 100% sure I always take it as a free pass when I get sent to GH instead of prison haha

Minerals don’t highlight for me this is persistent no matter how many times I relog and not just for the prison but for regular mining as well both in ship and prison mining just doesn’t work for me as my laser can’t target minerals at all and I have no clue how to fix it

Got 15h to clear asap today (I killed the wrong NPC, wrong place and failed hard kareah). I started with 0 knowledge about prison. 2hrs later I can tell you the relevant things : O2 management is key, O2 stations suck, don't mine, go deeper than 7 for "coms out of reach" thing and kill NPCs as much as you can. When's time to exit : logout/login (this part is critical) ==> it means free comeback. With profit buy MAX O2 you can each time. Repeat again and again. Don't take A-mineral. Keep only H++ and D+. The gap between A and D is huge. Sometimes NPCs got a knife, even better and useful for potential players doing like you (kill on sight !). It was less boring than expected. But the mining think : terrible. Slow and stupid. The mission thing ? It's a bonus but absolutely not a focus. Killing NPCs IS the focus because their loot would take hours to get otherwise and your O2 is limiting you, especially first attempts to go deep. O2 = progression/profit So the meta : killing, stealing, server hoping, mission if convenient. I'm not fully trained but I would say you can erase 5hrs in less than 1h. Surely more if you're focused on it and good. Route 1 seems fine. The progression is also not linear. After more and more profits, O2 is less and less a limitation. But first 15mins are tough. A last thing : tons of bugs, so progression is also about bugs knowledge : like 02 pen are random, character stuck in breathing BS and consuming more etc...

Glaring hole in your guide, you don't show the hand in for minerals, where to do so. I've done so many times but the hand in terminals are missing. not sure if it's a bug or they have been moved. Came to this guide to find out as it's recent and you don't talk or show anythinga bout it.

13 hrs for killing a bunch of NPC ships... they attack me first BTW, this game is just bad. AI is the worst part of it along with low frames tons of bugs and awful map and inventory settings! not to mention the lack of content.....

I've been playing only since 3.18 and still have yet to max my reps out cause I keep getting side tracked haha 😄 the new Overdrive event has been a lot of fun have you tried it yet? The AI can be quiet slow sometimes but 3.23 is bringing a whole bunch of upgrades to a huge part of the game! I hope you give it another chance sometime and thank you so much for telling us your criminal time hahaha 13 hours is no joke!!
