This must be the new go-to all-in-one guide for the pomade scene. There's a few on KZbin right now, but given all the new cream and clay pomades, etc, they're all quite outdated. This has everything you'd need to know where to go in 2019!

Thanks man! I don’t go into the cream/clay/etc as much as I wanted but I’m planning on answering questions and hoping the community will help answer questions in this comment section!

Thank you man! U r the literally one who really helped me to orient myself in this products! How's it about hair health? I mean I'm going for medium oil based pomade, should I shampoo my hair every day and use conditioner once a week?
@TheWorkmansPomp4 жыл бұрын
Hey thanks for the comment. When it comes to products and washing out it honestly comes down to preference. When I use oil based it depends but lately I’ve been washing my hair every day and conditioning every other day!

Hi, Brandon! Really liked the video. I have a question. I’ve recently been getting into Lockhart’s products (especially Matte Clay and Anti-Gravity), but I’ve not used their oil-based stuff yet. I want to try Goon Grease out, but one thing that has always worried me about oil-based is washing it out. Is it really that hard? How do you usually degrease your hair? Any specific shampoos? (I’m from Brazil, so I don’t know if what you end up suggesting can be easily found here, but that’s okay). Keep up the good work!
@TheWorkmansPomp5 жыл бұрын
It depends on the person honestly. Some really feel like it’s hard to wash out, some don’t. It is, however, pretty hard to get out on one wash. I have a video about degreasing you can check out, but the easiest thing to break down oil based is mineral oil.

Great video, I have not tried to do a pomp the way you showed. It must be what I’m doing wrong. Also, why do you prefer the plastic pick over the metal one?
@TheWorkmansPomp5 жыл бұрын
The metal ones are a little too thin and can pull out the hair, at least that’s what I noticed. I like the metal combs because the cut is thicker

Have you found something similar to Shear Revival's American Gardens? For me it styles like a low shine medium OB that responds really well to finger combing. I'm almost out and who knows when Zach will grace us with some more OB clays

Denman for application if you have thicker or normal and vented if you have normal to thin hair

So what you’re saying is I’ve been doing this wrong for years! Someone recently gave me an oil based pomade and i didn’t know the difference..until i couldn’t wash it completely out of my hair. I hate when my hair falls down! I like the hold of the oil based! But i felt like my build up was just starting to look gross. Still trying to figure it out!
@TheWorkmansPomp4 жыл бұрын
It’s up to preference but when it comes to build up I like to degrease from time to time, as I like the heavy stuff.
@zebravideo14 жыл бұрын
Brandon Rodriguez it’s a new day i degreased as much as i could last night definitely didn’t hold as much today at the end of the day praying i don’t wake up tomorrow looking like a grease ball since i didn’t wash it out tonight just water and i have to be up for work early
