I got a lot of interesting information from this video in spite of it being 10 years old. In my experience Triffari, Napier, Monet, Sarah Coventry and some of the others mentioned are in great demand now. Trends change.

I am very appreciative of your knowledge of vintage- period! you are a gem, a real treasure! There are few people who have knowledge on vintage jewelry & clothing, who are actually willing to share it! I learned all about Harris Tweed for you and made my first score! I had to wait awhile for the right guy to come around, as the two sport coats I found were only size 38! You also taught me the difference between blazers, sport coats & suit jackets. I love learning about these vintage things. You are special! Thank you for sharing!!!!!

My mom passed away 7 years ago and I have had her vintage jewelry stored away until this last weekend and decided to finally pull it out and go thru it. There is a massive amount (to me) and I'm slowly working my way thru and sorting and trying to pull sets together...etc. You have provided me some great information. Thank you so much!

sorry for your loss. It is nice to hold on to her jewelry so you can at least keep some for yourself as a way to honor her and the memories you shared. I imagine that the person who owned the items I get secondhand would appreciate someone loving their style and taste.

I watched this the other day and then started looking at all the jewlery I have accumulated from thrift shops and family members. One of the first pieces I looked at ... thought it was a cool cheap necklace, turned out to be Navejo Turquoise Squash necklace. Its sterling silver, and sells on ebay and etsy from 300 to 2100. Cray cray right? Thanks for all your tips. Now I need to learn how to sell this stuff.

I had a shop on Ruby Lane for many years. I closed that shop, and have boxes and boxes of gorgeous vintage costume jewelry! I want to start to sell some of it off! I decided to watch your video, to maybe get some pointers selling on Ebay! I felt you did.a wonderful job explaining what works and what doesn't! Hi Cherry, Thank you so much for posting me. I didn't even know I had an interest in jewelry until I rented a booth & locked shelf at a antique mall in 7-2007. My specialty is glassware made since the beginning of America. Anyway I picked up a book on jewelry & I was hooked. The other dealers would walk up to me & offer Weiss & Coco Channel for a few $'s. Also the thrift store had jars of jewelry at that time. Now with the recession lifting it's time to sale. Video? not for now. Sorry, Jimmy.

Good video. It seems the customers who buy the good items listed at lower prices (with a plan to resell it at a higher price) tend to never leave feedback. Or those who think that an item may be a very valuable piece, but mistakenly marked at a lower price, and then order it. Once the person finds out it's not the masterpiece they thought it was, they expect the seller to pay return postage, even though the initial purchase included free shipping. It's important to know the value of what you're selling.

Hello, I wonder if you could help me. Me and my Boyfrined are looking for an engagement ring. I would love to have an Antique, also, we wouldn't like to spent a lot of money. We would like it to be real gold and as for the stone, it doesn't have to be a diamond, i love rubys, emeralds, opals, citrines, pearls or even just the Gold... I'm not picky. But where can we find these, in a good shape, and not extremely expensive? Thank you.
@CherryVintage11 жыл бұрын
On eBay, honestly, there are really good deals and reputable fine jewelry sellers, just check them out - see if they have an eBay store w/ excellent feedback and guarantee authentic. If you want to find one locally, then check Google/Yellow Pages for fine jewelry stores that also sell estate jewelry or look in your local newspaper on-line for vintage and antique jewelry shows. Hope that helps & congratulations on your upcoming wedding!! :)

@metalguru35585 жыл бұрын
Mary Madrigal it does it for you all you do is enter size and weight of the package and they’ll charge the customer according to that. Unless it’s priority then then you just pick the size box and it sets that price.

Hi, thank you for your video. One question though. You advise to look for pieces that are between 1920 and 1960 because they are collector's items, and will only increase in value over time. Then you say, "This is why I don't sell off much of the vintage jewelry that I own." Are you saying you have a separate collection that does not go onto eBay "that you own" because you regard them as personal investment pieces? Otherwise it sounds as if you are saying "I buy my pieces for the least amount I can pay, and you should too, if you want to make money selling vintage pieces on eBay, but I don't sell many of the vintage pieces I own (= have in my store.)" I imagine it is the former, but can you clarify? (And if it is the former, then you have to make another video on which pieces to keep for yourself vs. which to sell, LOL!)

Is that a computer talking? Or a stone-cold woman without any feeling and training in speech? Will certainly NOT-NOT by this costly book!
@CherryVintage9 жыл бұрын
Anne Bastian Not sure what you mean at all here. Are you asking if I am a computer? No I am not a computer.Am I a stone cold woman without any feeling? I guess that's purely subjective, go ahead and call that one as you see it.No training in speech? Correct, I have no training in speech, I'm sure my grammar and spelling is poor, I have a mid western accent... if that is offensive to you, feel free to stop watching, why subject yourself to something you hate? Or keep watching.. the choice is yours. I get it...you will NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT by this book! Okay princess, don't buy it, I don't care if you do or don't that's totally your option.....but it is a good book, Oleander, oops I mean Anne. ;-)

@charlotteruse1584 жыл бұрын
A comma comes after the "or" and the question mark comes at the end of the sentence. Also, "or" can't be used to begin a new question because it is a preposition. Stone cold isn't a hyphenated word and computers don't talk. Is it Will or you who is not buying the book? Using all caps is bad grammar and considered a sign of immaturity. I'm always amused by a know- it -all accusing someone else of the exact skills they lack. News flash. Nobody cares what you think.
