Great tutorial. I’m definitely going to refer to this when I digitize. I purchased Embird last year when the brand that I used for years folded and left their customers hanging🙄. So back to the drawing board with learning all over again! And thank you for showing the stitched out piece. Most people NEVER do this.🙂

Glad I watched your video because this software isn't user friendly & you just saved me lots of time & money. I'm sticking with SewArt until something better comes along.

Well I'm glad I stumbled across this interesting Video,. I have a person that I do custom embroidered patches with and anytime I make a change that's more than minor I always fell bad about it, Especially if it's after I already gave an ok to a digitized image. But now that I see how simpled it is, Point move a line click, Point move a line click. I just ain't quite going to be feeling so guilty anymore ;) You make it look way to easy

Great channel & videos, I knew very little about embroidery until i stumbled across your channel! I didn't realise it was so in-depth and complicated :) I have learnt a lot... can you import vector images from Adobe Illustrator into Embird instead of tracing around a .JPG image ? I design in Illustrator and the few embroidery things i had done by a local workwear company i sent of my files to have them digitised. I would love to be able to do them myself, with more control over the outcome, etc - keep up the good work :)

How do I decide which embird software to get? I want to be able to turn svg into embroidery file and make color and size adjustments. And also be able to modify already existing embroidery files. Thank you for your help with this

I’d really like to know, too. The only one I know of is Inkscape and I find it confusing to use. :/

Hi, hope all is well. I’m just getting into the world of digitising my embroidery and wanted to ask if you recommend Embird out of all the other softwares? There’s a lot and I want to make sure I invest my time and money into a software that I can benefit from the most. I would be using it for business purposes. Any information you can give on this topic would be great!! Also, love the channel. Keep it up!! Kind Regards

Hi there! Thank you for your comment. While Embird is a brilliant software for a beginner on a budget, if you have the funds The software I’d recommend is Wilcom. Wilcom has two versions of its digitising software Hatch (approx $900) and the full version called E4 which last I checked costs about $4k. These are the industry standard digitising software with great preview features and methods that make digitising faster. I like Embird because it’s cheap (about $300) and easy to use but it’s ease of use is actually a downside because it’s hard to swap from Embird to Wilcom as Wilcom is a bit more complicated. So if you can afford it I’d recommend going straight for Wilcom as you’ll avoid learning Embirds bad habits 😅 don’t get me wrong embird is still a great software but it’s font engine is rubbish compared to Wilcoms, I’d you plan on digitising a lot of things with text I’d definitely go for Wilcom
@pittysmom3 жыл бұрын
@@pinkbirdembroidery8281 the font engine comment is EXACTLY the kind of information I was looking for! Already invested in Embird and Studio over a 20 year period, but I think it’s time to take the plunge with Hatch. Thanks again! Cheri

Digitizing is a very complex art and science all on its own. It is not easy to learn and takes a lot of practice and trial and error. It’s really its own industry itself.
