Hi, I'm the lead animator of this series and I'd like to address a few things. Firstly, in the previous video, the Rashidun army under Amr ibn Al-As occupied Tripoli and Sabrata in 641 but, he later withdrew his army under caliph Umar order hence why Tripolitania was still under Roman control. Secondly, I made a mistake in 13:36 with the name *Zubayr ibn Al-Awwam* but the script actually referring to his son - *Abdallah ibn Zubayr* . We will fix this mistake in our special extended video in the future. EDIT: Someone pointed out the mistake of the year when Heraclius the elder was appointed as the exarch of Africa. The video shows *602* but its actually *600* . Again, this will be fixed in the special extended version. As always, here are the Attila mods which we used this video : - 622AD Beginning of the End mod (WIP) - 555AD Age of Justinian mod. - Lux un Umbra reShade preset. - Ancient Empires Dust Particles. - Natural lighting (WIP). Best wishes, Malay Archer ڤمانه ملايو

There is a mistake. u mentioned that Al-Zubayr was in the army of Garghori, but this is a mistake. Al-Zubayr is an Arab soldier, and his father is the cousin of the Prophet Muhammad. This error must be corrected. And the second mistake is that he said that Commander Abdullah was not participating in the fighting, but this is a mistake, so he participated in the fighting, and in the Battle of the Sea, which was mentioned at the end of the video, the Romans attacked his ship, but he managed to kill the soldiers and hit the iron chain that tied In addition, according to almost all sources, the number of the Byzantine army was twice that of the Arab army, 120,000

This Arab commander "Mo-yi" was identified by historian Friedrich Hirth as Muawiyah

TWO THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT ZUBAYR BIN AWAAM AND HIS SON ABDULLAH (PBUH) 1. Zubayr bin Awaam (ra) was one first reverts to Islam. He was the cousin of Prophet Muhammad (saww) and son in law of the first caliph Abu Bakr (ra). 2. Abdullah bin Zubayr (ra) who actually fought that day in this battle and conquered the city with his 30 men was the first baby to be born in Madinah for muslims and his birth was celebrated by all muslims bcoz Jews of Madinah had spread a rumour that after leaving Makkah, muslims had been cursed that's why no baby is being born by them. Also, when he was born Prophet Mohammad (saww) himself cut a very tiny piece from fresh date by his teeth and put it in the mouth of baby Abdullah bin Zubayr (ra). 3. This Abdullah bin Zubayr (ra) would later become a soldier and fight and win numerous wars for Islam. After the caliphate got into crisis and Muawiyyah rebelled against the fourth caliph Ali (ra), the caliphate broke into two pieces. When Ali (ra) died, after some time Abdullah bin Zubayr (ra) pronounced himself the caliph of muslims, and ruled over Makkah, Madinah, Egypt, Yemen and many other parts for 9 years. Then Hajjaj bin Yusuf came to crush him and bombarded Ka'aba with catapults and eventually killed him too and put his corpse on the walls of Makkah for many days. Most people wouldn't notice this, but please observe the thumbnail closely. You'll see that the Arab soldier is carrying a straight-sword instead of a curved blade. Have to give K and G the due credits for getting their art right (as expected). Arab swordsmen using curved swords is a myth.
@PYRESATVARANASI3 жыл бұрын
Curved sabres would come later, brought up by the Nomads of the steppes (Magyars, Turkic people's, Mongols etc). I don't get from where the idea of the Arabs using curved swords before the 11th - 12th centuries comes from.

I think who you meant there was Abd Allah ibn Azzubayr, the son of Azzubayr ibn Al Awwam and the future rebellious Caleph, and not Azzubayr the father himself. The son, Abdullah, is known for his rule in the conquest of Africa during the reign of Uthman. His father, Azzubayr, was already a senior companion by this stage and did not participate in battle further beyond the conquest of Egypt.

Islam reached the Horn of Africa during Prophet Mohamed’s lifetime, in the 7th century, when Muslims were persecuted in Arabia and sought refuge in the Horn. The refugees first landed in Zeila, Somalia then made their way further inland. Somalis began converting from their previous monotheistic religion to the monotheistic religion of Islam. There are shared features between Somalia’s old religion and Islam which may have led to the people viewing Islam as confirmation of what came before it and therefore the truth.

They had the best men of their time in companions of the prophet (pbuh). It was narrated by the prophet before his death that Muslims would conquer Persia, Syria & many other land and would become vastly wealthy. He actually feared that Muslims would forget their duties towards God after they became rich. And we see that to be true. The first 40 years or so will always be the best period of Islamic history. After that, Muslims degraded themselves in worldly pleasure little by little.
