Yes, I had an in house behavioral interview for a position that was a promotion. Fortunately, I read a book about them beforehand and prepare an answer for several questions. Luckily the interviewers asked 3 of the questions. I guess they read the same book. Lol. I got the job and another person who interviewed for the position was furious because they had more experience than I did.

@@ashfaqsharif I don’t remember the exact name of the book that I read because it was many years ago. However, I’ll search and post a similar one that I can find now.

I have had behavioral interviews. After being frustrated by my first couple of experiences, I took some time to sit down and think about all of the experiences I could have at-the-ready and wrote them all out in the S.T.A.R. framework. I then rehearsed and rehearsed (and rehearsed) out loud so I'd be able to sound natural when asked. It worked! I definitely felt more confident and got the promotion each time. It's been a while so it's time to add some fresh experiences. Thanks for this reminder!

Thank you Mike. You provided brilliant insight into what kind of questions might be asked by an interviewer using the Behavior Interview method. You provided examples that helped me recall past incidence and actions taken along with results. This will prepare me for on the spot interview questions.

It's nice to know unique minds can think alike. I couldn't agree with you more when you didn't agree with how the industry as a whole is taking the behavioral interviews in relation to past setbacks. Like you was relating to, people change over time and past experiences shouldn't be detrimental to one's future experiences.⭐
