Cruella Behind The Scenes: Disney's Live Action CGI, Costumes, Music, Animals, And Acting!
Cruella De Vil is back - and this time, we get to see how Cruella went from being Estella to the famous supervillain we love to hate. There are so many aspects of the production that had to come together perfectly to make this Disney magic happen. How did Emma Stone step into this iconic role? She actually had some help from former Cruella and executive producer on the film Glenn Close herself! The costumes of course play a major part - award-winning costume designer Jenny Beavan took inspiration from looks throughout the years to create fashion to show the journey of Cruella becoming who she is. As for the fiery fashion bits we see - yes, we’re talking about when Stone lights her white cape on fire - considering how elaborate the costumes were, no real fire came near and they used some CGI to bring this magic moment to the screen. CGI was also surprisingly used for the dogs - not to create them but to make them look a bit nastier than they actually were!
The movie is definitely not a CGI film - while it is used in some scenes for details, the majority of the impressive effects we see were done practically! How did they pull off the garbage truck dress shipping behind Stone like a snake? As for the secret behind making the large dress Stone wears on top of a car - over five thousand individual, hand-sewn petals!

Yea. I know others hate the troupe. But I don’t think they played it that bad (sorry good) here. Like she was cruel not as a misunderstanding of the origin story. She just had moments of being mad and cruel. Just not so much to dogs. Lol. And honestly. I’ve seen the original story. So I don’t need this movie to lead up to a retelling of that same story. Give me something different. Sure. You could then say why not just make an original story. But I like Cruella. Her style. Her mannerisms. If they made a character similar people will just say it’s too much like Cruella. As much as I was obsessed with the dog story of the original Disney classic. I was totally obsessed with Cruella fashion journey in this one. I wouldn’t mind if they just kept making mad fashion stories. Which I guess is sorta what the original was. But that was more like a family of dogs story caught in the middle of a fashion story.

I saw it today. It is so good, and that's just the soundtrack alone. I was singing in the cinema. As for the costumes, my fave of Emma Stone's is certainly the red dress. As for Dame Emma, it would have to be the ball gown she wears with the masquerade mask.

I watched this movie it was exactly what I expected but the biggest weakness is that the movie pacing is very fast which makes the segments superficial and a bit confusing, for the plot is very interesting addition, the film is invested very carefully and carefully in my opinion, the plot is 9/10, the plot is 10/10 and the movie's rhythm is 5/10.

I have a theory on why this cruelly is less crazy in her own movie!! The old movies are based on through the dogs eyes (they see cruelly as crazy looking) and the movie 'cruella' is through her own eyes...meaning her dresses are amazing to her, so is her makeup (have you seen the the lipstick, don't get me started on the mermaid tails for days).
