NHL on X: "So proud to have held the 2024 NHL Draft in what can only be described as one of the most breath-taking theaters in the world today: The Sphere. Thank you Las Vegas and everyone in attendance. See you on Zoom next year."

Brodie! Didn’t know you had a bottom half 🤣

Brodie did you notice that Mack was the only drafty that had his number on it. Everyone else had 24. Does that mean he is signing

I could see him pulling an Erik Johnson and playing another year in college, might not be a bad idea, worked out well for Cale Makar too

I think that was just the benefit of picking first and knowing the moment.

Excellent intel Brodie. Saw U2 at the sphere and like you said, where do we go from here? The tech behind the build is worth checking out...from newly developed cameras that are required to make project-able content, to the number of pixel pucks on the outside, to the $500k/mo eclectic bill. All amazing!!

I bet Sharks fans both in Vegas and back in the Bay area had a big celebrini after the pick was announced (just thought of it and couldn't resist - might as well apologize in advance. Sorry...)

9:05 Brodie, next time take your camera over to the catering tables. I want to see what these leagues serve you guys at the big events. Is it just chips and pretzels or is the media getting real food.

I don't know why the NHL would give up on in person drafts... they would probably make an easy $1 million in any arena they host it in. I don't know if they could sell 60k tickets to the draft. But if they could, Toronto's Rogers' Center, as well as Minneapolis' U.S. Bank Stadium and LA's SOFI would be my future targets in at least five or ten years.

It’s weird, because it’s the first time I’m older than some of this players. I am born in December 2005. It’s super strange to say that some player will play in the NHL at my age. 😮

Thanks for this. It was an incredible experience, but nice to see things I didn’t see. I was in the 4th row of 400 level. At first I was worried I’d be too high up, but for the screen it was perfect as you could see almost all of it without having to move your head around too much. Also, the kids in that montage were actually the draftees from this draft, not previous drafts.

The Sphere is incredible. We went Friday but left at 6:30 after the VGK pick. Go Knights Go!

I have cut back on travel vloggers for places I want to visit as they often do such a good job that I don't get a major first time wow factor anymore.

Yeah that kinda happened for me in seeing so much of the sphere before I actually went.

I was there Friday. I thought the visuals were really great, but I was a little disappointed because I don't think they used the full sound system that I heard so much about. So, I don't think I got the full Sphere experience. Still a really fun event to attend. One funny thing was a lot of draftees' extended family and friends sat in the upper levels, so at the moment the teams announced, "from (college or junior team)" they started cheering because they already knew who it was drowning out the name announcement, so I kept having to wait to see the name on the screen 😄

True about the sound. Granted I only heard a little bit but it wasn’t meant to be concert volume I guess.

Good catch. Celebrini is from Vancouver. Lululemon's corporate headquarters is located in Vancouver. Bruiser Brodie's attention to detail is impeccable.
