Hey Mathew. Love the HD Model. Would it be possible to have the TV raise up out of the media center? I like to have the TV hidden and I have suggested in the past to have it fold down out of the ceiling just in front of the kitchen island facing the lounge and table. But, now that I see your new model, I can see how you could put a big window in the media center to look out over your view, and then have the big TV raise out of the lower part of the media center to cover the tinted window if one wants to watch TV. I would rather be able to sit and read a book and be able to look up out at a pretty view, then go back to reading than have a big TV always blocking what could have been a great view. I know you have the big sliding glass doors to look out of already, but I think the more windows the better and at that table would be perfect to fit another big window. Please consider this as I believe it would add to the functionality and comfort of the LV. It would be like turning one room into another room. A media room or a reading and meeting room for when you have guest over. That said, I love the new HD and I am a huge fan of Living Vehicle. Keep feeding us videos! And, let us see Joanna cook something in the LV kitchen sometime. I very much would like to see a video of you guys or anybody actually living in a Living Vehicle for a weekend or more to show more details of just how easy and fun it is to live the LV life! You guys are great! Cheers from SC!

This is a great concept! The primary issue here is storage in my opinion. Under the TV we locate all the equipment for the media center and audio system. Once the TV lowers into the cabinet, we loose all that valuable storage space. That being said, I really like your idea and could certainly see another window at that location! When we redesign this product for the coming years, I'll certainly consider this. Thanks for the feedback! Are there any other suggestions you can offer?

@@LivingVehicleI would suggest doing the window also. However delete the TV all together. Cut down on weight and free up more space. Use a pull down blackout window shade as a high quality projector screen. Pair it with a short throw projector and you can use it day and night if you want to. Something to consider perhaps.

Amazing. Talk about sturdy and modern and well-thought. Almost perfect... but not because of the infloor heating which is a NO NO (this is trap for dust and debris and should be located in an interior wall-mount spot) and the dishwasher placement at the floor level (!!!). All in all, this unit is genius. Have two questions: 1) would a hydronic heated floor system be possible? 2) could cork floors be possible also? Thanks and kudos again for such craftsmanship!
@LivingVehicle
@LivingVehicle Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the feedback! By the way, the in the floor heating was a special request from a single customer, so not a standard feature. Warm floor is already accounted for as the conditioner basement warms the air below the floor radiating upwards. Cork floor could easily be installed over the current floor material.

TELL US ABOUT THE GRAY WATER AND THE FRESH WATER how it is being managed.
@LivingVehicle
@LivingVehicle Жыл бұрын
All the Spa Bathroom option features are maintained with a compost toilet replacing the standard toilet. The installation of the compost toilet fundamentally redesigns the wastewater management system. Living Vehicle® converts the existing black water tank into a secondary greywater tank. This design nearly doubles the capacity of the standard gray water tank system and creates significant resource savings for traveling off-grid.

nice video, my only concern are the two hoses that roll out from within the basement...the water and electrical cord. Mice and rodents will now be able to run up those two hoses and be able to come in the RV. That's typically what happens, so if you have a way to minimize that from occurring you might want to address this in your full video.
@LivingVehicle
@LivingVehicle Жыл бұрын
Good point! I really appreciate your attention to detail - precisely the real-world use case of how folks will be using this. Each hole has a cover over the hole itself, so when not in use, the cover is applied. In addition, when the chord is deployed, there's a smaller opening that is just big enough for the cord to escape through. I can really appreciate this concern, however. The back compartment is already a dedicated compartment - even if something gets in there, there's nowhere to go. It's completely enclosed in 1/8" aluminum. I'll do the same for the front compartment where the hose reel is located to ensure the same protection. Thanks for the feedback! Your comment is helping us make the design better!
@carmas54
@carmas54 Жыл бұрын
@@LivingVehicle good just made the hole covers made out of metal because if its made out of plastic like they're usually placed in RV's the mice and other rodents will eat through it to get into food or earth.

@@LivingVehicle Also you might consider getting an articulating hitch in instead of a traditional RV . Australian trailers all have them. We were just in some BLM land in AZ and the areas to park in all had a foot dirt curb you had to drive over in order to find a spot to park. The articulating hitch would make that happen a lot easier with out the fear decoupling and having a really bad day.

Thanks for the feedback. In all my days renovating 400+ vintage trailers from my former business, this could not be more apparent. The concern is legitimate! When pulling out the interior of completely neglected vintage Airstreams and removing the interior wall sheets, we regularly found little mice and rat colonies buried deep in the fiberglass insulation between the studs. RV owners never know what is lurking behind the walls - and like you said, it's all in the details!

Is there a reason the bedroom design was changed btw?
@LivingVehicle
@LivingVehicle Жыл бұрын
Yes! First and foremost, we expanded the bedroom and changed the orientation of the sleeping space so that we could fit a king bed. Many of our customers requested more sleeping space and larger bed options. In addition, we were able to put in a completely flat floor by moving the closet adjacent to the bathroom the closet also has been expanded to 6 foot. The new design also allows for cross ventilation with windows from side to side.

I look forward to the expansion your growing business. I'm curious if demands from clients and potential clients as your success brings you attention will make it profitable to eventually design full time fifth wheel rvs w/ bunks, mid-dens or toy hauler models. It'll take time because you do things very thoughtfully, but it will be fun to watch how things unfold. Best wishes for your well deserved success with your exceptionally designed and built rvs. Edit: I am curious as to how loud the powerful air conditioning unit is. I'm not concerned with the sound on the inside, but if you aren't off-grid and it is loud on your neighbor's camp-side, it would be an issue. I imagine you've thought of this and the unit is as quiet as is possible. I do wonder if it is possible for such a powerful unit to be at a decibel level that would not disturb the neighbors though. Just a passing thought.

Nicely done. This type of unit is exactly what I hope to have someday, along with an electric truck to pull it. Along those lines, I haven't made it to the end of the video, so maybe this is listed, but what kind of weight (tow and tongue) does this have? Props for the mini split. I hope those catch on industry-wide. Are the wheels independent suspension? A couple of suggestions: 1. Curt designed a system to tie trailer brakes into a tow vehicles ABS system. It's currently brand-locked, but please please please bring the tech over as soon as you can. It's a massive safety boon. 2. Have the bottom row of solar panels slide out and keep the top ones static. This can allow better water runoff.
