That ‘98 Tahoe was built in my hometown, my family worked at the Janesville GM plant for three generations, I love seeing them still rolling around. Espically in as good of shape as that one, There’s lots of super well cared Tahoe and Suburbans here in Janesville owned by people who built them. Even the last one built at the plant (09 black Tahoe LTZ) is driven all the time and has over 200,000 miles and looks great. Great purchase Andre! Should last a long time for your folks.

GREAT VIDEO... These 3 SUVs are a reminder of how far we've FALLEN, not how far we've come. Any of these 3 can be taken to any mechanic and get repaired. You can go into any Autozone, Advanced, or O'Reilly and get what you need. OH, and the MPGs are still almost the same as the new ones. Give or take a few...😂😅😊 I'd take that Tahoe for 10k any day. 😊 THANKS GUYS...

I wouldn't mind owning the Tahoe. It's simple technology that the shade tree mechanic can fix in his driveway or back yard if it ever breaks. The 2010 and above trucks require a shop visit and the dealership for the majority of parts required. My 95 Suburban is still running strong, and other than having to replace the rear shock mounts, and repainting the hood and roof, has been flawless.

Newer vehicles are staying the same for fuel milage because they keep building them bigger and heavyer they say lighter but there not, new trucks are heavyer. My dad's dad told him that model A cars got 30 mpg and what's the best they get today, 30 mpg. Gmt 800 was the best model for aerodynamics and quality before they started getting bigger and going backwards in quality.
@Cloud300004 ай бұрын
They are doing a decent job at keeping weight in check and boosting aerodynamics, but the bigger issue is the need for this super-car engines; if they fitted an engine with the power that was plenty 25 years ago with efficiency improvements of today, the mpg would be much better. Unfortunately, it’s hard to sell a truck with 200 hp when people are used to doing 90 mph with a 400 hp engine. People complain about bad mileage with the base engines, even though it’s actually pretty good when not doing 20 over the speed limit or towing twice the weight of the truck, but even the base engines are more power than what was plenty for a truck in the late 90’s.

I never saw what's so special about the Land Snoozer. It has the least power, small cargo and interior space compared to the others two and the aerodynamics and styling of a brick. The Tahoe is nice and has good power but has low ground clearance as do most GM 4x4 trucks and SUVs of that era. They did the Expedition dirty in this series and should have equipped it and Tahoe with the same tires as the Land Snoozer at least, which the latter also has an aftermarket lift kit. Typical TFL...

🤣 i feel for the sucker that pays $20k for a pos, underpowered toyota from 1995, like seriously, i can't believe anyone would pay 20k for a 7k suv with 150k miles. 20k! guys you could get a really nice mint 2013-2015 jeep wrangler for 20k. A jeep wrangler feels roomy compared to these Toyotas . Some owner was ecstatic when he sold this to FLT for 16k. KBB national average is $7k, even if you add $2000 for stuff, and a "classic factor" of 1k, you are still only at 10k. Anyone who pays more than 10k for this, is absolutely getting ripped off. The value just isn't there. It's WAY underpowered, you will hate it on the freeway, and in most cases won't even keep up. Forget passing. Forget going through mountains. Oh they engine swap it? That's 5k on the cheap side, 10k if you have someone do it. Let's be realistic. You will hate how this thing drives. It's a dog, it's 2010 jeep wrangler 3.8L dog like 212hp/275, literally makes the same HP/Torque and jeep parts are MUCH cheaper. Good luck with 1995 Toyota land cruiser parts. Hey just the voice of reason. No one should be such a fan of this that they would pay 20k for it. 7-10k maybe. Maybe. 16-20k, absolute ripoff. Doesn't matter how much you like it. lol LOVE ya FLT, but had to put my 2cents in. BUYER BEWARE it's a dog, underpowered, even in some situations so underpowered it's dangerous, passing is a joke, 70-80 feels like Warp 9.95, it never feels planted, it always feels like it's gonna flip at any moment. Now, if all you gonna do is some offroading, trail riding, and on-road is an every now and then thing, ok its for that. But not at 20k. Anyways, cool video, kind of wish a 1990s jeep was thrown in there.
