I am wishing you a healthy and happy new year! I am excited to announce the release of my new album today, a homage to the trombone players and the acoustic music that has influenced me over the years.
This album was a true labor of love, recorded entirely remotely during the pandemic and mixed and mastered by the award-winning engineer Stephan Oberhoff. If you're a fan of Quincy Jones, you may be familiar with Stephan's work - he recently produced an album with him.
I wanted to release the album on New Year's Day so everyone can start the year off with good energy. A lot of love went into this project, and I hope it brings joy to your ears.
The album is free on Spotify, and I'd like to invite you to listen. ‘

As an experiment, I'm curious to see what happens when listeners like/add the album to their Spotify playlist. Last year, I released a single on Spotify and invited my email list to add it to their playlist. That single ended up getting 20 times the streams last year than my other singles, leading me to believe that there may be something to the idea that the Spotify algorithm promotes music that is favorited added to playlists.
So, if you have a moment, please head to Spotify and add my album to your playlist. I'll be sharing the results and, if it is successful, I'll be spreading the word to other musicians how to do this so they can get their music out there more effectively.
