I "played" stagehand for 33 years, and THAT looks like a young persons gig.....❤

Legendary venue, and legendarily a nightmare to load in and out. Was built 100 years ago, but imagine the load in and out logistics haven't changed. Because the venue is built into a mountain, there is no widening of lanes. If any of y'all watching this aren't from Denver... You gotta come here. It's even more everything than you imagine. It's only 20 minutes outside of Denver. We make sure to see at least one show a year. Even crazier is when there isn't a show, it's a state park You can walk around red rocks. You can bring a guitar and stand in stage and play red rocks. It's a free state park

I drove all the way from Southern Ontario, Canada (GTA region), to Denver, Colorado to see Rush in 2007. I got to Red Rocks early that morning, saw the sunrise over the city. Then sat and watched their semis roll in, offloading to that flatbed stake truck and backing up that alley to get all the Rush gear up to the stage where it was slowly assembled, it was so cool. Very glad that I had the opportunity to see two Rush shows at Red Rocks!!

I didn't see the tunnel from backstage to the mix position....it's very cool and of course it's unique to Red Rocks...maybe they'll show it on a future video! :)

Yes, the horror! U2 filmed their gig there in the mid 80s, using FOH spots in 2 helicopters!🚁 Bono got on the roof with his white 🏳flag during Electric Co. & waved that sucka like he was surrendering to the masses! 😃🎵

I wonder if....Can a person sitting anywhere in this amphitheater see the whole sun route during a cloudless day, i.e. see the optical illusion that the sun creates ? Because the sun is trully in the same place, it's the earth that revolves around this astro, at the same time as it revolves around itself

The weather & heat would destroy them, not to mention the funk in the unused cabling in/outputs. Amps the same situation. Open air is never good for an INhouse P.A.- it's in the name!😉

No. All of the gear for tours is trucked from venue to venue. People have no clue how hard we work. Back when I was a stagehand for concerts (I am a lighting crew chief for corporate events now, like conventions, tradeshows, buisness meetings...) sometimes I would get "lucky" and get show call back to back. I'd get there at something stupid, like 6am, and after the load in I would get chosen to work during the show as well doing something like running a spot light, and then I would work the load out after the show, and get done at some other stupid time, like 3am, and then have to be at another venue that same morning at 6 or 7am. Some of the workers would just drive straight to the next venue and sleep in their car, so they could make sure they were there on time. And if you were even more "lucky" you would get chosen to work show call that day too, so you wouldn't be done with that second day until 1 or 2 am... It was rough.

One of the coolest venues in the country, second only to the Hollywood Bowl (or how the Bowl used to be)....

Red Rocks Is the best, Hands Down Mic Drop! I’ve been to Hollywood bowl many times as well, it’s an alright venue but Red Rocks is the icing on the cake!!!
