Terrance Dicks and Robert Holmes. Those two men are absolute geniuses. They defined the show.

Reminds me of Capaldi, I just love how both of them brings out some of the best moments of not just The Doctor. But of themselves on stage.

Fascinating footage. Tom is just a very interesting person and really is a deep thinker. I can see why he really loved playing the Doctor and why he had such a firm view as to how the character should be interpreted. Brilliant actor. My favorite Doctor! Would love to meet him someday.

70's Doctor Who was a golden era in so many ways save some of the visual effects. But some of that is the BBC not wanting to spend any money on these brilliant episodes. What a shame as they had two of the best Doctors in the history of the program and some of the best writers and directors.

I think classic who is a master class course on good writing and good TV even though its so low budget its remembered and sticks with who it touches not money low budget films Can accomplish that

This is a clip from the 1977 Lively Arts Documentary "Who's Doctor Who?" ... I recall recording the soundtrack from the TV on a portable cassette recorder, aged 15!

I miss Tom as the doctor. In my opinion, in so many ways Classic Doctor Who was just so much better than modern. I still love the show, but it's just not the same

Terrance Dicks was one of my favorite writers. I am tired of the noobs dumbing the show down. He and Barry Letts Producer and Phillip Heathcliff were what made Doctor Who the show I loved that was different than other shows now and then!

Writers look like a room full of Graham Chapmans - only minus the humour. And talent.

Sassy Chocolate milk was it as full on as changing the sex of a character? Just to please a proportion of people? Like was it as in your face obvious? It clearly is pushing political agendas and View points.

@@KyleTheDalek why would you ask "is it that bad?" if you've already made up your mind about how you feel about the show. Just admit you dont like women and move on. The show has ALWAYS been political. Villains inspired by thatcher, one of the biggest heads of doctor who in the 70s was a member of the british communist party, anti-pollution stories, anti-nationalism stories. Its always been political, just because the doctor has a vagina now doesnt mean you have the right to get triggered, snowflake.
