if you get a Nidoran female AND a Nidoran male, you can have MULTIPLE badass kaiju fusions. you can get a moonstone from the clefairy square in Mount Moon and from a rocket grunt who sells it in a later town. so, if you want both King and Queen to make cool fusions, that's my recc!

Best way to grind for cash in the earlygame is get to the point where you get Rock Smash and just keep smashing the infinitely spawning rocks around Rock Tunnel. While the Heart Scales and Hard Stones are worth a decent amount of cash the Rare Bones is where the real cash is at.

One thing I found is that I struggled really hard with money at the start too, but by the time I beat a couple of gyms and kept advancing through the game, they started being a lot more generous with the money! Also, the quests help there too and one of the big things you can do for money is go through the woods or caves collecting mushrooms or using Rock Smash on boulders and it's a pretty steady and renewable way to get some cash from the selling the items you get if you're a little strapped for the pokebucks. But yeah at the start it definitely can feel like the game is being way too stingy with money

I gained an appreciation for this Pokemon when I recklessly challenged Lt. Surge, got bodied, and all I had left was a Lv5 Geodude that only knew Tackle. And he tackled, and tackled, and tackled again into victory

Just to let you guys know, some of the different evolutions were changed. Pichu evolves by level now for example, I don't think happiness levels are a thing in this. Edit: In case this gets read, seems like happiness still is a thing and some still do level from it, but Pichu, Umbreon and Espeon don't, and I don't know if there's more.

Conversation topic: What are your thoughts on the existence of legendaries? I like what they were going for when they designed them, super powerful one-of-a-kind Pokemon, but I feel like that effect is really weakened once every kid on the block has Mewtwo, and all of a sudden Mewtwo goes from a cool thing to have to a necessary component to win fights once everyone else has one. Feels like legendaries were a concept that was created before the social aspect of Pokemon was fully considered. Really curious to hear your thoughts!

Kirran and Grant, do you think Pokemon as a game would improve if you could have multiple party members out at once? as in, more like Final Fantasy 1 to 6 with traditional 4 party members out at once? not only would it add more complexity to battle, but it would give use to non-offensive Pokemon moves, like those for healing or status effects to be used outside of competitive and in the actual base game. obviously Pokemon Company would never do this because it's meant to be baby's first RPG, but I think it's a fun concept.

I haven’t finished this episode yet (so this could immediately go poorly), but when one of your Pokemon faints, DON’T release them. Save them for a final episode where you have a ton of money for fusions and a good place to grind, and just level grind them to see what their evolutions would have looked like.
