CV: Beth managed to sort our entire linen closet in about a week using three employees she brought in. Legend. CE: Beth treats us all with equal footing. Just because you’re older or you’ve worked here longer doesn’t mean she’s going to cancel someone else’s holiday for you. Beth works on a first come, first serve basis, and tries to get everyone settled in a fair way. CL: Beth buys us doughnuts and drinks, makes sure we have freezer space, keeps up with our lives and checks in when we’re not doing okay, going as far as to offer help. CRGTTOAMF: I have been harassed at work three times. Beth has sworn up a storm and defended me two of those three times. The third she didn’t know about. Though customers are on a two strike basis, she typically assigns me rooms as FAR as possible away from the room of the customer who harassed me.

Its perfectly normal to think of your followers as friends as they often are the ones who are willing to support you in times of need, yes some youtubers do exploit their followers, so do celebrities, but not all of them do, these people also can function as ways to form friendships, via common interests in the persons content. I havent watched or seen enough of this man other than his poke-rap but he seems to have a genuinely good connection with his audiences, so you are reading way too deep into a joke in a video.

Several issues with your response, the only thing you really addressed was the "guilt" thing so lets start out with that. If you see a homeless man on the street, how likely are you to give them, say, a few dollars? This of course can vary depending on the type of person, however, you are not required to give anything to him, as the same with the youtuber. If you care about that youtubers well being during their time of struggle, donating a small sum could help. Would you say a homeless man asking for money is "guilting" you into giving him money? I never said this man is any of his audiences friends. I said he appears to have a good connection. For you to say that is not only fabrication, but a wonderful show of your literacy. To consider that not one youtuber or internet personality isnt our friend is foolish. People like AquaFPS had a subscriber who's house burnt down, and he turned to his subscribers with a gofundme to help that kid, as well as donating himself. Believe me when i say this isnt exactly uncommon. You have no one to blame but yourself if you let a youtuber commoditize on any relationship he has managed to build with you. Does he need help and you donated? You did a good thing. Congrats. But, if he doesnt need the money, why give it to him then. And lets say they duped you. Youre obviously going to be mad, but everyone who didnt get duped is also going to be mad. People on the internet dont take kindly to manipulators. If you have a shaky feeling about any youtuber, and dont think you could trust them for a second, then you would be a fool to do anything that you think would benefit them, especially with all the manipulations going on. However there is a plethora of good people on this platform that love their audiences, and its a damn shame you would question their integrity because "uhhh i dont know you because you internet man" the TL;DR KZbinrs and Fans form a mutualistic bond You have the choice wether or not to support a youtuber You can only blame yourself for following blindly Dont judge a book by its cover, especially if you havent even seen the cover. Edit: Also, if you take the time to actually build a relationship, internet personalities outside of youtube are rather fun to chat with as well, art communities and what not. Try making a friend over the internet, it could change your outlook.

It's more speaking in the sense that there's a lot of entry-level jobs who have managers who take their jobs extremely seriously in ways many of the other employees or even customers may see as excessive or somewhat embarrassing. This could be in how they run the store, treating it more like a multi-level corporate firm or the like.
