PS: fully agree with you that effects are part of the synthesis. Too many people keep substractive synthesis down to classic bass, brass, pads and leads and after that add chorus, delay and reverb, missing out a huge potential for original sound design.

That is the reason why I bought the DM-12! Something no other synth can do (not my Andromeda) and something I had been waiting for a very long time, been very found of effects (I have a ton of pedals and vintage effects)

Seems like effects modulation is the key feature of this synth. All others features does not sounds so special to me, but this flexibilty of fx modulation makes deepmind interesting indeed. Thanks for sharing this!

Cool. Yea do more deepmind stuff!. I was trying to make a karpus-strong systhesis patch with a delay . I was going to try to figure out the best way to get the note number to mod the delay time but it wasn't a destination on the regular delay fx. However I haven't tried the other delays. I did end up getting a real good kind of organ sound like a Rhodes or hammond punchy sound from shortening the envelope and using the delay feedback for the release.

I bought one of these used. Couldn't figure out how to scroll through the menus. The bank up down yes and no dont work on my keyboard. Is there a work around?

This fantastic feature really sets this synth apart from others, I'm wondering which envelope would modulate a FX parameter, since there are 12 mod envelopes, does it pick the first envelope or mix all mod envelopes when you play polyphonically?

It’s a shame that there isn’t an FX “send level” as that would allow you create a looping delay, then play over the top without what you play also being looped. Been trying to think of a work around for this…

It seems like there's a high frequency noise as soon as you start playing your dry sound. I noticed it goes away when your voice ducks the synth. I played one in person and noticed the same thing. Doesn't seem like much of a problem on brighter/louder patches, but when I set up some more mellow patches, it seemed more distracting. Have you noticed it much?

I like my Deepmind 12 alot but this is an aspect i find a little disappointing. In fact there is only 1 delay fx where you can modulate the time param and its the most basic one. Every other delay or reverb are static but you can modulate eq setting and mix for example (not really exciting to be honest). Missed opportunity imo but the FX are quite good anyway.
