Thanks for the kind comment :) I guess I’m not so great with the cickbaity presentation aspect :) & yep, practice with a discarded computer board or some pcb from the dumpster/fleamarket and one you’re confident, go! :)

Is there a way to implement the variable accent decay mod without lifting D15? Or a way that is physically robust (I'm worried about having the diode just sort of hanging off the solder pad like that...)

Sure! remove d15 and place a diode elswhere in the additional circuit. i usually do it that way

So the CV connections go in the back, and the tops get replaced by new knobs? How much??

Hey - yup, in this one I replaced all distortion controls and the CV connections with different modification controls, added more CV I/O (8 in total, all on the back). New knobs could be in other places too but found it interesting in terms of ergonomics :) There's a contact form on my webpage: maffez.com/?page_id=20

I know your page and have looked at it quite a few times. Im about to buy another unit to mod and wondering what you’d say are the top 5 useful mods you’d recommend. Side question, some of these mods -like replacing function of distortion knob- are really cool but is it pretty easy to hook a SPDT switch to flip between the modded functionality and stock?

Hey, as for fave mods, hm, that's personal taste but i like Acc decay, vca decay, acc trigger and porta trigger most. As for your side question sure you can have mods on separate switches (just drill a new hole for them). I don't vibe with the distortion much, so I like repurposing its controls. More work though.
