Kinda reminds me of the intro of “Mr. Crowley” by Ozzy’s band. Also the toro absolutely rocks, love mine.

Interesting. I always thought mike used the Bass preset sound on his taurus.

I can’t think of any that use that preset. It makes a PLUNK sound. Unless the TORO preset is not accurate.

The Taurus Bass preset has no sustain, I am positive Mike never used it. It's the preset called Taurus he (and everyone else) used but he could have also created his own sound on one or two tracks (Squonk may be one) using all those synth controls that become active when you select the Variable preset. I have had the Taurus 1 since 92.

Not only am I a HUGE fan of the new Toro (and, naturally, the original Taurus), but I'm also excited to see your Korg pedals. Until now, I've never seen anyone but Geddy Lee use that specific model of MIDI foot pedals. Any time you see him using anything other than the Roland PK-5a, it was the Korg MPK-130.

Long before I was in a Genesis tribute band, or owned a Minitaur or a Toro, a friend of mine gave me the MPK-130 out of the blue, and I was delighted that it matched the first synth I ever bought - the Korg Poly-800 II. I still have it, and they’re the same aesthetic. When I came across a second Poly-800 II I gave it to my buddy to return the favor.

Is it pretty easy to switch presets with your foot?

I honestly haven’t tried. I used these pedals for these videos but not in a performance setting.

Matt any recommendations on an ARP Pro Soloist alternative? Have the Odyssey and made some patches with ArturiA ARP 2600, but was looking for a reasonable hardware alternative.

Look at my videos, a few back from this one I made two about Pro Soloist sounds on a 2600.
