I think there is something called a "private but not a secret" type of relationship that content creators can sometimes go for. They do let the public know that they are in a relationship but most of the matters usually happen in private. In the end, communication between what both sides feel about posting in public is usually the best shot -- even just living in the present is what both may even come to. Having the stress to balance whether it is to post or not just because one has the fear of it not working out may become a regret as well. Maybe it's better to enjoy the present and post if both sides are okay and they feel like it at the moment (~showing how much they love them~). Regrets are only if it doesn't work out and that's a 50/50 chance as well.

I wouldn't want to reveal a significant other on public social media, unless I guess we were married. On private social media, I would be okay with it after things feel very solid, but also I'm not the type to post often. And wow actually it just occurred to me that you guys create mostly dating vids LOL. In my mind I was just thinking you guys talk about life, social interacting psychology, and all the struggles. And I can relate to not thinking about dating often (at least for the last few months). Like I talk about dating with friends and think about it sometimes, but I honestly mostly think about money (LOL), work, and all the hobbies/ interests I want to pursue & things I want to do with friends.

I think revealing a significant other depends on both parties, some prefer privacy while others like to share who they are with. I personally think it's meant to be shared once it's a solid relationship, and at that point I love sharing about them., I do think it's healthy to at least share them once a while, but because to me it's a sign of affection, that they are happy to share me to the world.

He is considerate when it comes to how I feel loved, so its not a problem for him. As long as you communicate at your wants and needs for each other, im sure you’ll see eye to eye/work thru problems together. ❤️ I also think that it’s unhealthy when u over fantasize about being that “perfect couple” on social media bc when its not perfect in real life, that expectation will end up hurting your relationship. I think when were adulting we tend to accept that past is past and youre like this because of the lessons we learned from the past. Be a better person but if the new one isnt comfortable with it then id stop being active on social media (which I automatically do if I have a bf).🤭✌🏻 My say on the relationship post would be, as long as the decision was mutual by both parties why not. If you guys would like to shout out loud that youre proud of your gf thats better, just make sure youre ready with all the possible consequences with it and make her feel comfortable with it, good and bad. I've been to one and my self confidence went really down. Tbh, based on experience the hardest for me was when we go out or when he would attend on gigs/events. Some fans would really look at your girl from head to foot looking for flaws, feeling entitled, while true fans would accept and still support you guys. Ya know. If I'm on that situation again, I might hide, lowkey supporting just enjoy the partner's achievements, post once in a while (btw, this will also make your gf that youre proud of them and telling the world youre taken and contented). Real talk I think it’s a tricky slope - I would probably lean against not saying anything until you feel sure about the relationship (ie working toward engagement, marriage) but I would still keep some distance and protect their privacy and reframe content in an objective fashion (ie qualities in them that make you value the relationship v how you met/specific qualities). We all have a choice as to what part of our lives are we willing to disclose to the public. Having a "filtered" life online doesn't mean you are being inauthentic. If you dig deep, you'll find that there are also values there --- respect, trust, discipline, and even love. If it doesn't do any good to your partner or to your relationship, then by all means, don't post it. But let me give you a different angle to this by telling you my personal story (even if you're not interested to hear it HAHA). I've had 2 serious relationships (and those lasted for 4 years and 6 years) and none of them posted about me on their social media accounts. All my life, I have never experienced being "flexed" online by my significant other. I'm a pretty chill girlfriend I would say. I don't really demand anything and I'm not the insecure type who needs validation from a man. But at that time, little did I know, that both of them actually had another girlfriend. Apparently, everybody in our circle knew about it except me. And you know what's more? Their relationship also lasted for years without me knowing. And since I'm not on his social media, it even looked like I was the 'other woman'!🤦🏼‍♀️ Despite my bitter past, I would still never impose something like this to my future partner (to post about me on his socials or to even force him to delete the traces of his past relationships). I believe that when your relationship is solid to begin with, there will be no room for doubts, misunderstanding and unnecessary stress that could possibly ruin your relationship. For me, posting your significant other online is an ACT OF LOVE (and I would love to experience that myself!) but not posting him/her online could also be one. I did used to always get mad at my ex for not posting me like I didn’t need him to always post me but here and there would’ve been fine, but after the breakup and his death loving each other in private was the best thing ever with the choice that we both made. As getting older now if he wants to post if not its okay too loving in private and respecting both parties is all that matter and living in the moment is all for what I live for.

I feel its wise to not publicise relationships. First, because the relationship willlllll definitely get affected by opinions online. There shouldn't be a third person steering direction of a relationship.
