I lost 2 close friends 3yrs ago. One ghosted me, one talked to me about it. And both ways broke my heart. I agree everyone will have different ideas of who you are. Another thing I learned from this experience was that, sometimes people will continue to see you as the version they first knew you as, instead of learning about who you are as you change. And, I rather keep those who still want to be friends with me as I grow and change in life. Because we never stay as one identity and one personality in life, we’re always changing as we learn and experience new things.

I lost my 10 years best friend last year, 2023. what surprised me was that after 10 years of friendship, that's how she sees me. and it broke me...but at the same time I realised how toxic our friendship was, and I am now happier spending my quality time with friends who truly know me and love me for who I am. I still think about her sometimes , the friendship breakup is not easy but I know that I will be fine and I will get better and better this year

The part where you said you lost an important connection and how much it hurts resonated with me so much this year. I’ve been filled with random sadness every time I think about it. I looked back and wonder what I did wrong and maybe there were a lot. I’m not perfect. But like you said, I think it’s important to appreciate what I have and nurture the relationships I have now because they are my support system. As for the lost connection, I can’t change their perceptions of me if they don’t have room for me in their life. Everyone has their reasons for their actions and I just have to respect it and we move on ❤

Interesting that I also lost my closest connection aged 32 last year. My upcoming wedding triggered it, and she even had to step down as my maid of honour. It was heartbreaking at the time. A year later, and hearing Jenn go through this, made me cry. I still think of my friend every now and then, because we shared so many great times together and I thought of her as sister. I thought it was reciprocal. My life has continued to move on, and I do feel less of a loss. Although I am lucky to still have friends who I cherish, it’s not been the same. However, I am hopeful in the future that another person will drop into my life suddenly, just like this one did, and I will connect massively with them again. Continue to open your heart and your mind to strangers, no matter how much you want to close it off, especially after you’ve been hurt before.

never had I seen the importance of continuous self-growth in such a healthy way. I had never even heard anyone around me talk about putting the work in to tame their temper in 20s that they managed to do by the time they turned 30. I never even had thought how working on my body image today, in my mid twenties could one day ease me into motherhood. (That's still crazy to me). Yes, I know its helpful to have those tools. But you've done the work and shown me visually how much my life could be different. That I could be glowing, in places and moments I couldn't even imagine. For the first time in my life, you've made me look forward to getting older instead of worrying about it. Building a deeper relationship with myself is worth it in so many ways, so many I have even yet to experience. I don't have older sister. God I always wished that I could have one so that I could see how my future could like. It's weird but you are that person? I turn 33 this November, this whole past year has been full of sacrifice, it’s been so hard mentally and physically, moving back to my parents house with a teen and a toddler has not been easy, but I always stay hopeful that it will get better, it will be 1 year since we moved back and my goal is to move out starting 2024 my alone time is so important, my privacy, my children also need their own rooms, I can see myself in my new home full of gratitude, thank you for posting this video, a lot of people in their 30s seem to have it all together and it was nice to hear there’s also lot of us still trying to figure out life ❤

My actual little sister turned 33 in June but we are so different when it comes to life. I turn 35 at the end of the year and at 33, it was the BEST YEAR OF MY LIFE! I was confident and carefree yet my mind still craved what my heart is still searching for. I'm still not a Mother yet and I have returned to college this Fall semester to complete my degree after a 12 year hiatus, and I feel so much better about this learning journey. How you expressed yourself while taking your history course is how I feel taking my classes. In true Earth sign solidarity, we are very critical of ourselves without ever being able to see the wonderful things about us that everyone else sees. i didn't get a chance to go to university at the age that everyone got to and after ten years of being in the workforce, i have taken the plunge to stop working, to commit to going to school. it has only been three weeks and it has truly put me outside my comfort zone. it has also made me become extremely aware of how fortunate i was to be able to come out to work, while also being extremely aware of the fortune that the kids that are currently in school with me as they are able to see the world from a different angle having not been in the workforce at all. thank you for sharing these moments and thoughts with us, we are so happy to see you grow and it always feels like i've grown alongside you. blessed birthday Jenn! x

I hear you on the ghosting that really stings and doesn't matter how much therapy you get, it hurt then and will hurt whenever it happens again in the future 😢 I hope you have a wonderful bday, I turned 30 this year and for months I so anxious about it, to the point where I became suicidal and I had no idea what was so important about 30.
