Being a Dumb Tourist in the Farlands for 12 Minutes

The Farlands were a phenomenon that occurred at the edge of the Minecraft world. Basically, the computer reaches it's limits, which creates this crazy wall-type world generation! Today, I brought the Farlands into modern Minecraft, to see if I could manage to survive in there.
If you want to do this yourself, here are the steps:
1. Create a world in beta 1.7
2. Load the world in release 1.4 (ish)
3. Teleport to 12550821 ~ ~
4. Load the world in beta 1.7 and walk around the Farlands
5. Reload the world in release 1.4 (ish), and then whatever version you want!

This gives me such strong vibes of a lighthearted survival story about a young adult living in a broken up, post-apocalyptic world. But you can you can just barely feel the dark undertones of what happened to civilization

The writer in me really wants to make a 50,000 word novel based on this video. Why am I so inspired by a single Minecraft lets play video? I keep thinking about the potential lore and mechanics of this type of world. And if it was a graphic novel, can you imagine how pretty the landscape shots would be? ...does this count as fanfiction? Come to think of it, are all ‘based on a true story’ movies and books just fanfiction? Real people fanfiction even? Would real people fanfiction be just rp? But that stands for role play, which is the exact opposite of characters pretending to be real people? Where am I going with this..

You should do this but with the "floating islands." I actually tried to reach the end on a floating islands world and it's _very hard._ (Floating islands is in vanilla btw. When you scroll through the different world types [i.e. default, superflat, amplified, etc.] Floating islands will be in there)
