Susie X Your attitude and made-up facts, gross me out. Even if your ‘facts’ were right, less than 1% of the US population is 330m x .01= somewhere just under 3.3 million human beings in the US alone. Of the world population that’s (1% of 7bn=) 70 million. If it were possible to decide or convert to being gay there would be a lot of gay men who “choose to” because they hate or don’t get along with women, and vice-versa. On the other hand, DNA is basically irrelevant to gender where chromosomes are determinant. Finally, as you don’t understand what’s in another persons heart or head, you don’t get to judge or infringe on their pursuit of happiness. From our research, the term "ladyboy" is a popular term used to describe transgender women in Thailand. I complained about it in the last video but I did say that I wasn't pointing fingers because I know it's just a language issue, and languages can differ of course. If thai transgender people feel comfortable with the thai term for ladyboy, or the english term, then it's completely okay to use it and even more so for accuracy in the representation of the interview. As a person who loved languages, I understand that some term that is offensive on the west can be non-offensive in other parts of the world, so yeah. But I still think it's important to note that it is like that, just to clarify that you guys (Asian Boss channel) aren't just being rude and going by international standards (since subs are in english and it can be confusing) calling people offensive terms, but instead just using the most accurate translation without leaving the authenticity behind.

@cinnamountain6 жыл бұрын
First of all, I want to say that I'm so happy she had family support for the most part. This goes to show how transgender people can live happily as long as their communities are supportive and especially families, so we all need to start to treat others with compassion no matter how different they are. How great would the world be if we were more considerate to one another despite our differences? Aside from that, it's great to see that she's a successful young woman despite being trans. Trans people often times rely on jobs that they don't want just because there's not really a place in society where they can actually work and be valued as human beings sometimes, so they end up working as whatever they can get. But yeah, it looks like she's pretty well off with his business and I'm very happy for her. I just hope this helps to open people's minds and also to show that transgender people are not the issue, the issue is that the society isn't used to them, but if they just open their hearts and let them in then they will be indeed happy people that can be a positive influence in everyone's life.

I like her she seems genuine and humble. When I was in 10th grade I was a victim of bullying. There was this gay in my class who always picked on me because I was an outcast I was a transferee at that school. He's extrovert so he has many friends and his friends bullied me as well it was really hard for me that sometimes I don't want to eat at the cafeteria because I'm afraid I might meet them along the hallway. That experience made me bitter to gays in general but this interview enlightened me that not all gays are the same. Just what she said that people should look at the inside first and then judge them based on their actions. Gays, transgenders, or straight ,we should all be more understanding and kind to anyone because we may don't how hard life was for them

What is the most interesting to me is it seems in Thailand they accept transgenders as a 3rd sex and not as a woman or man. I kind of like that concept. In the US lots of people tend to say straight up 100% the person is the gender they transferred to. But it's impossible when born as a sex biologically to get rid of all traces and be the other one. I don't know. I could be wrong. But I do want all transgender people to feel comfortable in their own skin and be accepted by society no matter why they feel like the opposite sex or why they are the way they are.
@exnihilo4156 жыл бұрын
Transgender people in Thailand and elsewhere have a diversity of opinion on the topic. It surely doesn't help that in Thailand one can't legally change one's gender the way one can in much of the west. It surely doesn't help trans women identify as women when your own ID card betrays you.
@pandaonsteroids51546 жыл бұрын
@@exnihilo415 I think that not being able to change it legally is a problem. But I don't think their idea of thinking is completely wrong. When you take into account gender fluidity and all the different ways people feel, I think that transgender people are very diverse in how they feel about every aspect of their sexuality, sex, gender. I think it's something that's more fluid and there's no one answer or case. So I think the US's and Thailand's concepts are both right.

@@pandaonsteroids5154 My wife is a Thai trans woman. We live in the US now. She was very anxious and proud to change her ID and passport to be female in the US but still can't in Thailand. @pandaonsteroids51546 жыл бұрын
@@exnihilo415 In case you misunderstood I don't think that not being able to change your ID in Thailand is right, but looking at transgenders as a 3rd gender is not particulary wrong. Of course a transgender man is the most close to a man and should be identified if they wish it to be that way and vice versa. Glad your wife could do that though.
@exnihilo4156 жыл бұрын
@@pandaonsteroids5154 There is also a long cultural history of a 3rd gender social role in South Asia and SE Asia going back centuries. Hijra in India.
