THIS is their best album. There, I said it. They surpassed themselves with this. The amount of genres mixed in to it is just wild. The ambition and audacity to change up the metal scene is incredible. I had high hopes but good god. On first listen I was floored. An amazing achievement in not just metal but in music in general. I don't think it's the best album of the year but definitely it's the most interesting far I've heard. At first listen it's complicated to process all the info that it got. Anyways is a good album i really enjoy and that's the important, I'm going to still listening to this album a little bit more to get aquiented in totally. I think it's good they released many singles of the album: 1st, that's a fat album, and diving into it when you know just one or two (or three) songs can be an overwhelming ratio, so that's a smart tactic to guarantee many more people diving into the rest of the album. 2nd, there were enough other singles on the album for the album's release to be impactful as an album. 3rd, more and longer hype-build-up. But idk that's just me. Awesome reactions bro, and you're sexy as fuck.

good points but i think it was worth it for one point alone: the callback reference to Chokehold in Take Me back... OMG, after having Chokehold out long enough for that opening line to sink into our minds... hearing that show up was so cool, along with other references that pop up in those last songs, really adds a cinematic culmination & finality to it all

Are you really ok? is on my top 3 of the album. I overlooked the first time because I was to hyped to finish the whole album. But then in the second listen that song just brought me to tears, is simpler than other songs, but that makes it brilliant and sad, lyrics destroy you.

You hit the nail on the head with some of what you said I am totally eclectic with my musical tastes and Sleep Token melded so many of my varying preferences into one cohesive project that transcends genres and expectations . It is phenomenal Tha Apparition is actually my favorite of the new songs ....it's just such a vibe Ascensionism is just a force to be reckoned with and is mind blowing and jaw dropping Title track and Euclid especially back to back just reduced me to tears Just flawless. Did you notice in "Ascensionism" the lyric: "I can offer you a blacklit paradise" hearkening back to Blacklit Canopy? I'm pretty sure he was madly in love with the girl from the duo and ALL of his lyrics are about her. Sad, haunting, and beautiful. I know the trope of the deity "sleep" but if you listen to the lyrics they're very directed towards someone, and he's obviously crushed by this person. You'd have to be familiar with the catalogue to really get it. Amazing, amazing art. Vessel is a straight up poet. Leitmotif at all? Its beautiful and I love it. Worship.

this album was just not for me, the pop parts are super generic and the metal parts all sound exactly the same as each other, how I would put it is that it sounds like metal imagine dragons
