Austin great content. You should make a separate video on this subject for prospective ALTs/full-time teachers

I wanted to meet a passionate Eng teacher like you Austin, when I was younger. Your student in your school now, they are so blessed. Putting in your effort for your own money and career also ties into that students can get good education opportunities. I respect your energy to pursue your career even in a different country.
This was one of the most interesting episodes since this show started. I truly hope that the JET Program has a chane to watch this video. I would love to know what they think.

After listening to your talk, I'm curious about how Japanese resumes differ from overseas one.

if you think japanese high school teachers are competent enough to actually teach anything, you are mistaken. they are there to follow curriculum given by ministry of education. thats it. that's their "responsibility". most of high school English teachers here hasn't read a single English book in their life.

I wish you could talk about those dispatch companies that take advantages of and exploit foreigners.

At the beginning of the video, Austin says "I decided to be boring and come here. So my question is, can this "decide to be" be used not only to mean "decide to be" of one's own volition, but also to mean "inevitably be" as in this conversational example? This is the first time I've heard of it in that sense, so I'm asking this question.
