when harry was talking about how before stages, he'd tell God that he was doing this for Him so as long as He enjoyed it, it was okay, or when he was talking about how he'd ask for God's presence in deep conversations: i think that's a beautiful mindset to have. whenever i pray before these things, i usually pray for God to make it easier. like, i'd pray that my presentation goes well, or i'd pray that i wouldn't get hurt. but harry doesn't pray for an outcome he wants, he prays for God to make the outcome that He wants, and in doing so shows that he trusts God with his future. i don't often hear celebrities talking about their faith in such a deep and honest manner, and i'm really grateful i got to watch this :D

To answer one of the first questions: I am a Christian who is spiritual but not very religious, which means I have faith but I don’t follow any particular practice. I believe in God and have a very close relationship through prayer, scripture and music but I don’t enjoy structural religion because of the hurt that has been caused to myself and to others by the Christian church as a result of the corruption or misinterpretation of God’s word (and the influence of power hunger, racism, misogyny, heresy, bigotry, etc etc). I’m working to undo some of that hurt internally through studying translations, books and scholarly resources faithful to the original Hebrew on topics like race, sex, sexuality, outer space/the universe, etc, but even though I am practicing *something*, by popular definition, I am not religious because I don’t often participate in organised religion i.e. going to church, being actively part of a community etc. I hope this helps! Now I go back to watching hehehe.

This answer right here! 🙏🏻❤️👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I was raised in a strict religion until I was 16 and because of the “religion” side of things I totally turned away from the church, from God, and everything but now that I’m older I feel like there’s something missing and I know what that is. I definitely need to be back but I don’t want the religion just the spiritual side...
@yoannaguerrero4 жыл бұрын
I love the way you talked about in this way but also remeber that if the church has hurted you, remember that is not God but humanity, the church doesnt define your relationship with God, but it's good to have a place where you can go to learn more of God and to teach you the path, God bless you
@kaussiesvt73024 жыл бұрын
Yes! And also i used to believe as a christian we weren't spiritual, but that was me ignoring and forgetting about the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is so important yet a lot of us sometimes forget the Holy Spirit and the works of the HS.

It was awesome hearing you share your stories and faith. Being a Christian is not so much as being religious but is a lifestyle of following Christ. In Christianity there is not a set list of things to do or not do to be saved - we are saved by grace. It is simply about having a personal relationship with God and Jesus. It is great for people to be good and do good for others but we also have to grow in our relationship so that we know more about Him. It is very important for us to stay connected to Him, setting aside time for Him and obeying His will for our lives.

I wanna give a tips for the question that were not answered. the way to handle awkward situation when we are told to greet people at church is we have to change our minds that they are not just human beings, but your "neighbors" in heaven whom you should love. No need to be awkward but be grateful for it. Gread video anyway, keep spreading love!
@dubba12144 жыл бұрын
In the Catholic mass, there's no greeting, but there's a part in the service where the priest gives a sign of peace to the congregation and then invites the congregation to share a sign of peace with each other. They'll shake hands and say "Peace be with you." We'll start with our family and then move on to other people in other pews. It might help if they think of the greeting as another way of telling someone peace be with them. I'm sure they'd like to hear that and I'm sure other people will, too.

My experience growing up going to church was... not great. There were lots of judgemental people (mostly parents/older folks) who were more interested in saving face than in being a good person and loving God. I saw families being psychologically bullied out of there for not 100% conforming, people using Jesus as a way to make someone do them a favor. Kdrama tantrums. I stopped going when I was around 15 yrs old (told my mom I wanted to focus on my studies but really I just couldn't stand it anymore), but I still kept in touch with some of the friends I made there. That hasn't affected my faith though, my relationship with God is a personal thing. Shoutout to those who went through this too, I know for a fact that I'm not the only one.

pH-1 "I do believe in God and I still believe that He has great plans for me" has me crying. I love that they can talk openly about their religion. This was my favorite episode. ♡

OK, them agreeing that no one is a "proper" Christian made me tear up. Because I struggle a lot lately with being "proper" especially in times of KZbin and zoom worships.

BM talikng about his dream got me goosebumps. I had the exact same experience with a dream i had 11 years ago. For eleven years i've gone through a really painfull and hard process of healing. In 2020 i finally felt i was finally fine with myself, my emotions, my mind and my soul. After 11 years, God brought back the sign i saw on my dream that night. I am sure He wanted me to know that i was fine, that everything was going to be fine and that i made it out alive. God is good and works in so many mysterious ways! I loved listening to this podcast. Thank you so much! Love you guys. Rebecca from Italy

i'm a happy hidden kard knowing that there are still brave christians out there talking about this topic. it's always so sensitive around the entertainment field if someone has a religion. the worst thing is that people like us (with religion, i am christian), we get prosecuted for what we believe. we can a lot of k-idols and just celebrities in general trying to hide their beliefs because of what other people think. praying for yall :)

I thought I was the only one ! But Mathew does it too , opening the bible and ask God for a sign and point at random verse ! 😆😆😆😆

@@NiDasia2984 I miss youth camps and outreach. I mean the food was not exactly great but youth pastor had a way of making us excited to eat. I miss the movie nights and discussions and barbecues and crushes. Chai, life was almost simple then...now covid...

Hearing Harry mention he's trying to find his way back hit home more than I care to admit. I was really involved in my church growing up and I was really into it. But about three years ago I left for a number of reasons, i.e. questioning if I really believed, declining mental health, imposter syndrome, etc. Nowadays I don't know if I believe in anything really, but I still would like to believe there is a God and a purpose.

Thank you guys so much for this episode. It was so blessing and refreshing to hear the three of you talk about your testimonies as Christians in such a transparent way, so much so that it just seemed like I was listening in on a conversation that three brothers in Christ were having with one another, not three celebrities on a podcast. It could have been so difficult to go this deep into something like this because of your positions as public figures of course, but because you guys were so willing to share the efforts all of you are making in your everyday moments to lead a Christ-like life and because I could relate to so much of it, I was so happy and encouraged the entire time I was listening. So, thank you again for the reminder of God's amazing power that knows no bounds and also for the immense amount of joy and strength I gained from your testimonies :) God bless

Never thought I'd hear people in this industry talk about their faith so comfortably like this -- their testimonies and how they're doing right now...and these spoke to me. It was like saying, "time to go back."

I have been binge watching Get Real episodes in the last couple weeks... I love how God works in the most unexpected ways, even just three of them sitting as men talking about God, Faith, and Bible Study... I absolutely loved it! Thank you!!

"I'm not a perfect Christian" - pH-1. What people need to realize is that no matter how devoted your are to your faith in God and in Christianity no one will ever be as perfect as Jesus and God. You may go to church everyday, give thanks to God through his gifts, fast when you need to. Nobody is perfect. So if any Christians want to come after LGBTQIA+ and POC for being different, you yourself are different. Also I am so glad they are able to freely talk on this topic because Religion sometimes is a sensitive topic depending on your environment.

Been binging on Get Real podcasts but this made me subscribe. The subject of one's faith is not usually talked about in casual media or is handled condescendingly or "safely" that there's really no satisfactory content at the end. This session is so good! Brave and done well. Glad that they started in clearing up that this is about their views.

I'm not a Christian but it's really comforting to see people who are in a good light of religion. Then didn't push you to enter their religion or being super fanatic. Just find comfort and enlightmen through their beliefs and try to do and be better person each day.

God bless you and don’t forget the love he has for you. It’s crazy how much mercy and grace God has for us, like we sin everyday, we „cheat“ on him all the time and yet he forgives us and still loves us the same. Although we do the same mistakes over and over again.I’m praying for you lot and that God puts the right people into your lives. It’s so important to watch out who and what we surround ourselves with. We need to guard our hearts🤍 Thank you for being so honest boys. Idk why but I teard up. Also it’s so important to talk to Jesus. I struggle with that too, I mean I do pray everyday but it’s always a quick prayer and I really should make an effort and really make time for Jesus and not just call out to him for help. Prayer is so important and I need to remind myself of that too. This is probably one of my favourite episodes

Being spiritual is knowing ,believing, and having a personal relationship with God ❤️it is not all about following instructions. Go to Him with willingness in your heart and He will always embrace you. Our God is Good ❤️ This made me respect them so much ❤️
