When I lived in Hawaii, I lost a lot of weight because it's not really a lot of fatty foods there. I basically switch my lifestyle to Asian cuisine, fruits and veggies diet.

That must've been years and years ago. There are fast food places all over Hawaii. You lost weight because you changed your diet/lifestyle.

Hi! Great video. I'm looking to move to Hawaii soon so this was super helpful to watch even if it's aa few years old. I don't know if you're still in Hawaii but my homegirl actually opened up a salon and beauty supply in Honolulu called Yaya's and Pop pops Beauty! And yes, she is a melanated queen herself and so are all of the amazing women in the shop. They have everything.

I am happy for you that you have this wonderful experience! However, you didn't talk at all about being Black in Hawaii. I tuned in to find out if you felt welcomed or experienced any racism. Did you date any local men? How do local women react to you? I have visited Hawaii many times, but until you live there, or stay for some months, you can't know what it is really like. If you make a video answering these questions, please let me know, Aloha!

So you mean to tell us that there’s really no jobs there? Schools are there, I am sure someone can be a teacher there. Hair salons, nail salon and spas, I am sure you can get a nail tech job as well as esthetician. They drive cars? Car dealerships are there, you can be a salesperson, lash technician. I am sure people uses cell phones, work in telemarketing at T-Mobile or whatever phone provider they have. Construction work. Beauty supply store are there but not products for ethnic people how about someone open a store that have products for ethnic hair? That would be a money killer for ethnic people that are having a hard time finding products

You should do your own separate research on Hawaii’s job market. Most locals occupy entry level positions. If you’re moving from the mainland with the intention of getting a retail job it’s probably a mistake. The Hawaiian job infrastructure is focused on specific industries. If you plan to move you should consider identifying whether you have the right skill or experience to qualify for a job that’ll allow you to sustain your living there. If not, you’ll likely fall in the population of people who move to Hawaii and then return to the mainland in 2 years

We ain't prejudice here. Basically, you act stupid you get treated stupid. If you experience prejudice it's probably somebody from tne mainland. But, like all places we get some dummies here. As far as food... my friend from the mainland was freaking about a plate lunch i got him here. He said "Greg, you realize i got three starches on this plate." I told him "what!" He said "I have spaghetti, rice, and macaroni salad on this plate." I told him "and...?" He just ate it. 😂 He liked it. You come... no bring attitude. But sister is right... bring money. The videos was entertaining. 2:11 i don't really agree with what you said about the job market. True, there's not a lot of different industries but there's lots of jobs. And its a tourist state so the more practical job in Hawaii is anything in hospitality. Hotels and restaurants and construction. Other than that, you need to have some experience or know someone to get into an office job. Actually, with most jobs. The problem i see with the hotel job is that its monopolized by Filipinos. Which for everyone who is unaware, they will hire a Filipino with no experience first before hiring a different race. Being black in Hawaii is rough. Not horrible but rough. Hawaii is probably one of the most racist place I've been in America and I've been all over .

The island has Calm energy and vibes same thing as well anyone's going to be looked at by their color if I lived in Mexico and I'm not mexican the us didn't have to adopt it and make Hawaii a state on Their own it was an island and it's suppose to be sacred us came to Hawaii and demanded land and held hostage of the queen Hawaii is far from united States and the land was taken by us ofc we would be surprised seeing a black person we obviously live on a (island) we are far from bullshit from the mainland the energy like you said from Hawaii than to any other state is way different respect come both ways haole ain't a racial slur that's just a term or how we say white people just like many different languages have their own meanings it's also not that Hawaiians are racist or don't like black people how can u say that when on an island it's secluded of their own people so it's just because we haven't seen a black person before isn't a bad thing your going into another whole different atmosphere in Hawaii then the mainland and that's what is misunderstood Hawaii is sacred and is full of life mainland brings bad energy not everyone necessarily so ofc some Hawaiian might look at black people with a lil curiosity but like the Hawaiians some are they are positive, respectful, are kindness is taken for granted we are raised as warriors or like warriors fight for what we believe in and we fight for our islands and home pride it's not being racist to any color we just who we are and the u.s not people know about Hawaii than just going to galavanting or sight seeing there's more than what meets the eye the us try to understand us or they they know what's going on in Hawaii or think what's best for us is a lie💯💯I think is wouldn't make us a state if the islands weren't a opportunity for themselves that's why without concerning or give profit to Hawaiians idc if Hawaii was a state or not it's says something the islands were far from anything drama and everything and there's another thing why sometimesits always respect for tourist to come but to know how to come and act and come correct their it's a whole different world 🌎💯 tourist come to Hawaii to visit but some like to stay there are more tourists or non Hawaiians living in Hawaii than Hawaiians that are bloodline reason why Hawaii living ain't cheap with groceries a milkd is like 9-10$ because alot of people wanna live their I don't blame them but i don't like when us try to run shit that never needed running and we been fine before being a state we live in islands that should say something that we are independent but y'all tourists needa go back where tf y'all came from y'all can visit but it's an island come and go as u please but don't live here unless u ain't Hawaiian or got bloodline from Hawaii it's bad enought people try to act like us or try to become one of us and then make us look bad it makes no sense living somewhere u don't know their history and should respect their history and land Hawaii is a place to visit I wouldn't stay somewhere I didn't know and wanna adapt their lifestyle just like if I'm black living in Mexico tryna be Mexican and black it's not about being racist but about the bloodline of keeping the Hawaiians going and it's really true least Hawaiians live on the island than tourist or mainlanders live more on the islands and that shit said y'all needa stop moving to Hawaii you see people that are white whatever trying to live or be like a Hawaiian claiming they are Hawaiian but claim to be just Kuz they live their doesn't mean their Hawaiian it's about keeping the history alive and taking care of the land unlike any state as hawaii respect the land and the people and they will respect you

I think you may be referring to the other viewers in the comments regarding the racism. But I agree with alot of your opinions. People will always be curious when they see people not like them. And unfortunately they may have preconceived notice established. And that is why I never judge a race by hearsay. I always have to experience it first hand. I speak about that in my Q&A video I am trying to upload this Saturday. But thank you for your input!!!!
