Being ginger-male is just awesome! Although I don't have freckles and im a bit more copper than orange. Sometimes I feel like only thing that makes me unique and charismatic is my hair and my oversized glasses. Although I don't understand this "ginger-male can't get girls"- thing going on. Its so strange how someone so beautiful can experience such treatment. I always found gingers attractive, they have a rough but sexy look going on about them. Rough meaning attractive but mischievous, edgy/ rocker kind of look that makes them appear hard and cold but yet they're softies at heart. I guess this is a "white people" problem because red hair and green/blue eyes is considered attractive in the black community and basically every other non white country.

oh lord, where to begin. as a ginger myself I don´t know where this guy comes off claiming being a person with red hair has it difficult. yes we all have our disadvantages, but being ginger is not one of them, unless we choose to. yes some people have it harder than others, but that doesn´t mean we have to wallow in it. when I was a kid I wanted to have dark hair like my brother, but as I got older I noticed that evryone else had either dark or blond or brown hair, but very few had natural red hair, so I prided myself for being unique. yes I was bullied at some time in my life for my hair, but I felt sorry for them because they were different from me not the other way around

I'm not oblivious to what's going on with students. I'm not a public school teacher, I'm a charter school Mentor. It's my honor to be a confidante to students. I've heard everything from bullying, to sexual orientation, to every kind of self-image problem and never once has a student come to me all broken up about having red hair. Kick a Ginger Day?! Techraan! Chinese Made In the USA! First of all it's Red Haired not 'ginger' as ginger is a vegetable. Secondly it doesn't matter if you know people with Red Hair - it's still no where near the same. Thirdly - It's not just a 'public school' thing. Yeah maybe it's more prevalent in certain counties. And in the U.S. it seems like it is worse in some areas than others, so maybe you're just it a 'good' area. But a lot of the current fuel comes from U.S. programs such as South Park 'gingers have no souls' or two broke girls episode where a character sees a Red Haired couple and is disgusted that they were in the café or another program where a character states dating Red Haired guys ' Doesn't count' - see what I mean yet? Do you see anything near that going on with any other group of people. That kind of stuff filters down into society. Want to know the ultimate sign of brain-washing? Do you know many Red Haired women for years had seen Red Haired men as ' untouchable'. See that happening with any other group of people ? (Thankfully that's changing since people stood up to say how crazy it is) It can be in a very subtle form of discrimination like being ostracised or more public like people been beaten up or even stabbed - all of which has happen simply because of someone's hair colour.

Growing up as a red head boy sucked. I was picked on and made fun of and beat up. I was ostracized. I even had some teachers tell me they hated boys with red hair. It took me a long time to get self-confidence growing up.

I have brown hair and brown eyes, and i never in my life ever thought for a second one bad thing about red heads. I never been around red heads ever, apart from knowing an ex-boyfriend's baby brother that was a true red head. I wouldn't mind dating or marrying a red headed guy. I am a ginger (and proud of it!) and being member of LGBTQ community (yes dear, there are LGBTQ gingers out there -- I ought to know!) I have dated many fellow ginger men. (One unfortunately turned into a daterape situation and I had to phisically throw him off of me across his room and get out of there PDQ)! But all the others -- even that one lush from America -- are indeed nice decent paople I only hope that people think of me being a nice LGBTQ ginger as well. I am both of 10% and of 1 - 2%! So if I I am doing my math correctly, we should number worldwide as approximately 520'000'000 (male, female, and in between)!

To be honest, I think it's more about the effects of bullying than being ginger (despite the title). If you're bullied for an aspect of yourself, and then grow to hate that aspect, it's only natural that you won't have a lot of self-confidence about it. From what I've seen from interviews and suchlike, the film started out with him having one opinion and feeling about himself, and over the course of the creation of this documentary he has had that opinion changed.
