I came across this lady's teaching when I was 20 and did not really get it... So glad I found her content again by chance this year... and being now 28 I finally understood what she is talking about... Thank you so much

I can relate to that, except it took me over a decade to 'get it'. Guess I wasn't ready til then.

He reminds me so much of my partner thinking he’s going to take the one big lesson with him, memorize it and then move on forever without ever experiencing another negative thoughts. So dear. Such a wonderful intention. And the way there is to be in the present moment. We don’t memorize the answer and then go forward. The fear that creates that need to know everything now is what she’s eluding to. And why she keeps taking him back to the now. He’s trying to skip the being present in the now and feeling the pain and the unpleasant part because he’s terrified it will cause him to act out of the pain that he has projected on others in the past. He doesn’t want to hurt people. He’s in a hurry. Love him. So beautiful.

Actually, she lives the inquiry "Is it true?" Plus how and why and to what effect...are these thoughts.
@theself57383 жыл бұрын
She questions ALL beliefs. The ego “I” is also a belief that needs to be questioned, and when it is fully seen through, the ego disappears, and that is the end of the universe, the end of time. This is the same as what Bhagavan Ramana taught, he just goes straight to the core belief “I” upon which all other beliefs (and the entire cosmos) is built on
@zain40193 жыл бұрын
@@KFO-fr5ok When the inquiry 'is it true?' is done continuously, and becomes automatic and nonstop, as Byron Katie says it is meant to be done eventually, it becomes exactly the same practice as self-enquiry. The mind is always in a state of pure listening, in which it contracts around nothing, and returns to its source.

Not sure the psychoanalysis of 'too loud so I was punished' entirely correct, nor accurate nor even apropos. Sometimes a spade is just a spade. People over analyze things.

I can barely listen to this women. She says it’s a loving world. Tell that to the thousands of holocaust serviors or the parents and children who lost their loved ones in911. Her “work” is lacking compassion wisdom and depth as I see it. I recall asking a client what brought her to treatment. She shared she found her self curled in a ball on the bathroom floor where she worked as a high powered executive. As she recalled for the first time the rapes that were inflicted on her as a child over and over again by her father she whaled in great pain. Is this the illusion of her ego? I think not. For the first time in her 46 yr old life the memories that where so horrific to her psyche she needed to bury them from her conscious awareness. Dare I think what might have happened to that women had she been told “it’s just your ego”. “ An illusion” as Katie biron would suggest. Perhaps there will come a time when the victims of such horrific losses will come to presence with these injuries. However z. until then they must be met with deep and profound compassion for themselves and what was inflicted by the sickness of their perpetrators for a genuine healing to occur. Authenticity comes from walking threw the pains of our past and coming out the other side. Not spiritualizing. Then we can come home to ourselves with a wholeness that’s was hitherto inaccessible. What she refers to as “the work” looks to me like denial of reality.

Thanks for saying it. Well said. As we let go of our trauma and terrible emotions we should be careful not to spiritually bypass.

kzbin.info/www/bejne/qYqkeZR5n6eGf9E In this video the man who asks the questions comes kinda from the same place as you here (he is a son of a holocoast surviver, and also asking about rape). Maybe this gives you another perspective. In a lot of videos of her you see that she is still very compassionate and would never say "it's just your ego and your feelings aren't true".
